• As a Senior Software Engineer on the AOM team, you'll own the full development lifecycle of features, from conception to deployment. • You'll play a key role in creating scalable, maintainable, and robust systems and user interfaces that are truly customer-centric. • Working within a cross-cutting team, you'll collaborate closely with other engineers and product stakeholders to design and craft innovative solutions that directly address our clients' everyday challenges. • Design, develop, and deploy scalable applications in our AWS environment, ensuring the implementations meet business requirements and adhere to high-quality standards. • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and fellow engineers, driving seamless product development from concept to deployment. • Keep our tech stack modern and competitive by staying current with the latest industry trends and technologies. • Enhance system observability and reliability through writing tests, adding key metrics, debugging issues, and learning from incidents. • Contribute to our team's growth by assisting with resume screening and conducting interviews for new talent.
Job Requirements
- 6+ years of fullstack development experience with end-to-end ownership of business-critical systems.
- Frontend: Strong React.js ecosystem skills (TypeScript, Hooks, Redux/Zustand, React Query, MUI, Emotion/Styled Components).
- Backend: Proficient in Node.js and TypeScript; experienced in building APIs and working with event-driven/serverless systems.
- Knowledge of Python, Go, Nest.js or similar languages/libraries is a plus.
- Cloud & Database: Hands-on AWS experience (Serverless, networking basics, container services, RDS).
- Strong database design skills with PostgreSQL/MySQL, solid SQL fundamentals, and experience with ORMs (TypeORM, Prisma).
- Problem-Solving: Curious and detail-oriented with strong debugging skills, balancing correctness with practical tradeoffs.
- Collaboration & Growth: Effective communicator, open to feedback, and eager to take ownership in a fast-paced environment.
- AI-assisted coding: Comfortable using AI coding tools (e.g., Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Codex) and familiar with integrating LLM APIs (e.g., MCP, RAG).
- Domain Knowledge: Experience in fintech (KYC, compliance, onboarding, payments/cards, crypto).
- Startup Mindset: Experience in high-growth or startup environments.
- Infrastructure as Code: (Terraform / CloudFormation / AWS SAM)

If so, AMD is looking for a Software Performance Engineer for a high impact role focused on improving the performance of key applications and benchmarks. You will be a member of a core team of high-talent industry specialists and will work with the very latest hardware and software technology. Key Responsibilities - Identify and analyze AMD strengths and weaknesses in application performance, finding performance bottlenecks. - Use all available tools and/or source code to determine the nature of the identified bottleneck. - Design solutions or workarounds to mitigate identified bottlenecks. - Work with AMD’s architecture specialists to improve future products. - Apply a data-minded approach to target optimization efforts. - Research alternative, more efficient ways to accomplish the same work and promote these to software vendors. - Contribute performance improvements to open-source projects and identify other applications that may benefit. - Develop technical relationships with your peers at our partner software vendors. - Stay informed of software and hardware trends and innovations, especially in algorithms and architecture. - Be a specialist in the performance characteristics of mainstream CPUs. - Some travel may be involved as you visit our partners at their locations as needed for co-engineering efforts and education. Qualifications - Experience identifying performance bottlenecks on any platform. - Deep knowledge of C/C++ programming. - Experience using CPU profilers such as vTune, WPA, MSVS Performance Profiler. - Knowledge of SIMD instructions such as SSE, AVX, NEON. - Knowledge of modern concurrent programming and threading APIs. - Knowledge of CPU architecture. - Familiarity with modern source version control such as Git, Mercurial. - Excellent communication skills and able to work with partners effectively. - Self-starter, passionate about performance.
