Full Stack Engineer

Grapefruit Health

• Design, build, and maintain full stack features across our platform • Own backend architecture and API design using Python/Django and JavaScript • Develop performant frontend applications using React and modern JavaScript • Architect and integrate microservices and third-party systems (e.g. Twilio, messaging, analytics tools) • Debug complex production issues across distributed systems — frontend, backend, and infrastructure • Improve system reliability, observability, and performance • Contribute to infrastructure and DevOps (AWS/GCP, CI/CD, IaC) • Write clean, testable, and scalable code; enforce best practices through code reviews

Job Requirements

  • 4–6+ years of professional software development experience
  • Proven experience owning features or systems end-to-end in production
  • Strong backend development with Python/Django and JavaScript
  • Advanced API design and integration — REST, async workflows, webhooks
  • Frontend development with React and modern JavaScript
  • Cloud platforms: AWS and/or GCP (compute, networking, storage, monitoring)
  • Experience integrating and managing external services and microservices (e.g. Twilio, third-party APIs)
  • Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills across the full stack
  • Infrastructure & Data PostgreSQL and data modeling
  • Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar)
  • CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows
  • Experience with logging, monitoring, and observability tools
  • Unit and integration testing
  • Git-based workflows (GitHub)
  • Agile/project management tools (e.g. Jira)
