Role Description We are seeking a motivated and experienced Bookkeeper to support a UK-based employer in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting day-to-day accounting operations. This role is ideal for a South African professional who is organised, proactive, and confident working with UK teams remotely. - Manage and support the recording of financial transactions, bank reconciliations, and ledger maintenance - Handle accounts payable and receivable, invoicing, and expense tracking - Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders across time zones - Maintain accurate records of financial data, VAT submissions, and compliance documentation - Use relevant tools such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, or similar accounting platforms - Support the wider team with month-end close, payroll preparation, and financial reporting - Identify opportunities to improve bookkeeping accuracy and financial process efficiency Qualifications - 2+ years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related field - Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English - Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple financial tasks simultaneously - Proficient in Xero, QuickBooks, or similar accounting software - Able to work independently and manage your own time effectively - High attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving - Experience working with UK-based financial environments or employers is advantageous - Must have a reliable laptop, stable internet connection, and a quiet working environment Requirements - Salary: R28,000/month - 100% Remote

Role Description We're hiring a Senior Manager to help us keep our financial work top-notch in our construction-focused bookkeeping firm.
