Mechanical Plans Examiner

Role Description We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Mechanical Plans Examiner to join our team of professionals. This position offers great opportunities for dynamic, motivated self-starters to work on a variety of work assignments. You’ll be a member of our highly respected team of professionals with a full complement of resources to support you and exciting projects to keep you challenged. - Review and evaluate structural construction documents submitted for approval utilizing applicable codes/standards/guidelines/laws, appropriate municipal ordinances, and construction and engineering standards, determine review fees, and authorize the release of approved documents for city permits. - Review mechanical calculations for compliance with codes. - Provide timely oral and/or written communication detailing design and/or construction deficiencies in plans and specifications. - Direct and participate in design coordination meetings regarding private development projects and city, state, and regional capital improvement projects in order to lead the development process, ensure timely approval and completion of projects, and resolve any problem areas. - Assist inspectors with difficult or unusual code compliance issues and answer questions from inspectors about plan review comments. - Cultivate, foster, and maintain positive working relationships with directors, managers, supervisors, employees, and other stakeholders to gain their cooperation and support on assigned projects/assignments. Qualifications - Extensive knowledge of local building codes and current construction procedures/technology. - Interpretation of codes in the field and ability to provide code compliant solutions. - Must possess the ability to positively interact with the other staff members, the general public, contractors, governmental entities, and other clientele. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Good time management, organization, and attention to detail skills. - Demonstrated ability to exercise initiative and a considerable amount of independent judgment. Requirements - ICC Mechanical Plans Examiner Certification required. - ICC Certifications in other trades are a plus. - Plan Review experience required. Senior Mechanical Engineer

Role Description Miller-Remick is looking for a Sr. Mechanical Engineer to act as lead on multiple concurrent capital projects ranging from $5M - $100M across a variety of markets, with a strong focus on healthcare.
