About the Role: We’re looking for a Pricing Analyst to own and continuously improve the performance of Monzo’s insurance pricing. This role sits at the intersection of data, pricing, and growth. You’ll be responsible for understanding how our prices perform in market, why, and what we should do about it - from day-to-day optimisation through to longer-term pricing strategy. You’ll work closely with our insurance partner, data scientists, and product teams to turn pricing and risk data into clear, actionable decisions that drive growth. This is a highly hands-on role with direct impact on conversion, competitiveness, and profitability - particularly as we scale our distribution channels, including on price comparison websites (PCWs). You’ll play a key role by… - Owning day-to-day pricing performance - understanding where we sit in the market and why - Analysing pricing, conversion, claims and loss ratio data to identify opportunities to improve growth and profitability - Running and supporting pricing experiments (e.g. segment-level changes, elasticity testing) including on PCWs - Refining pricing segments, rating factors and tiering to improve decision quality - Working with our insurer to evaluate pricing proposals, assumptions and trade-offs - Building a clear view of price competitiveness, especially on PCWs, and recommending actions to improve rank and conversion - Working with Data Science to deepen analysis, while independently driving core pricing work - Helping develop our internal pricing capability - including frameworks, datasets and ways of working - We’d love to hear from you if… - You have pricing experience in UK Home insurance or a similar general insurance product - You are highly analytical and hands-on with data, comfortable running pricing experiments (e.g., elasticity testing), and using conversion, loss ratio, and risk data to drive actionable decisions - You have sufficient underwriting knowledge to effectively challenge insurer proposals, pricing assumptions, and rating factors using data - You have a solid grounding in SQL and experience with Data Analysis tools such as Python, Jupyter, Looker or similar Nice to have (but not essential): - You’ve worked in a digital-first insurer, insurtech, or high-growth product-led environment - You have experience with PCWs or other highly price-sensitive distribution channels - Familiarity with underwriting concepts and insurer-led pricing discussions - What’s in it for you Salary is £ 80-95,000 depending on experience This role will be based out of our London office next to Liverpool Street station - in a hybrid way of working between the office and home We offer flexible working hours and trust you to work enough hours to do your job well, and at times that suit you and your team. 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays) Private medical insurance with WPA £1,000 learning budget each year to use on books, training courses and conferences. Role Description Conduct discovery investigations relating to legal proceedings, potential liability issues, claims, and personnel matters for those members of the insurance pools administered. - Receive investigation assignments from PLP Assistant, Director of Investigations, Contract Attorneys, Claim Adjustors, and/or Pre-Litigation Director. - Coordinate investigations with client point of contact and communicate regularly with them during the investigation. - Travel throughout Washington State in your personal vehicle. - Required to engage in overnight travel throughout the week as necessary. - Interview complaints, subjects, witnesses, and potential witnesses. - Locate missing or hard to find people and information. - Maintain liaisons with outside agencies and organizations to ease the access of information. - Manage the investigation/case until closing. - Update Pre-Litigation Director, Claims Adjusters, and Director of Investigations on challenges and progress of investigations. - Gather reports and documents relating to claims or Pre-Litigation issues. - Confer with claim supervisors relating to evaluation of reports and investigations assembled by outside investigative agencies. - Assemble investigation notes and documents clearly and concisely describing the information discovered during the investigation. - Draft Investigation reports, review for accuracy, and submit for attorney review in a timely manner. - Attend Investigation, PLP, and All-Teammate Meetings on a regular basis. - Other duties as assigned. Qualifications - High school diploma or GED required. - Possess valid WA State Driver’s License. - Overnight and extensive travel required. - At least 2 years’ experience of conducting thorough discovery investigations. - Computer skills required. - Obtain and maintain a current Washington State Private Investigators License. - Acceptable results of a Motor Vehicle Record report at the time of hire and periodically thereafter. - Maintenance of minimum acceptable insurance coverages are requirements of this position. Requirements - Must be self-motivated, willing and able to work with minimal supervision to meet the needs of our clients and Clear Risk. - Must have basic knowledge of the Criminal Justice system, as well as basic knowledge relating to Civil Law proceedings. - Must possess a working knowledge of School and Employment Law. - Must possess strong interviewing skills of child and adult complainants, witnesses, and subjects. - Must be able to efficiently work with Microsoft Office products and other online programs. - Must be articulate and able to draft comprehensive reports relating to the relevant allegations. - Be flexible enough to be reassigned to additional duties, as deemed necessary by management or in the event of an emergency. - Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work unsupervised or in teams. - Possess a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, organizational skills, and computer skills. - Professional office dress is mandatory.
