Role Description Dayforce is currently seeking a Part-Time Payroll Delivery Manager I to support payroll operations and client delivery across an assigned portfolio of customers. This role focuses on collaborative leadership, operational excellence, and client relationship management to ensure successful payroll delivery and high levels of customer satisfaction. The Payroll Delivery Manager I acts as a consultative partner to both clients and internal stakeholders while supporting payroll operations across the employee lifecycle, including payroll, workforce management, benefits, and related services. The ideal candidate brings strong payroll expertise, operational leadership capabilities, and a proactive, customer-focused mindset. What You’ll Get to Do - Manage day-to-day payroll operations in a fast-paced and evolving environment. - Maintain oversight across multiple operational activities and resolve issues within tight timelines. - Ensure quality control and auditing standards are met to maintain high accuracy and low defect rates. - Monitor and support compliance with contracts and service level agreements (SLAs). - Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute proactively to operational efficiency initiatives. - Serve as a subject matter expert on payroll processes and provide recommendations to internal and external stakeholders. - Track workflows, manage operational tasks, and remove bottlenecks to ensure timely delivery. - Support resource planning and utilization to maximize operational effectiveness. - Assist clients and internal teams throughout various stages of the client lifecycle. - Support project planning, rollout activities, and operational readiness for payroll testing cycles. - Provide coaching, guidance, and support to payroll team members. - Help establish standards, best practices, and standard operating procedures. - Prepare and present operational metrics, business reviews, process updates, and key insights to stakeholders and leadership. - Build and maintain strong internal and external relationships across teams and partners. - Deliver exceptional customer service across all interactions. - Promote cross-functional collaboration and training initiatives. - Approve payrolls while ensuring adherence to compliance requirements. - Support year-round compliance, audit, quarter-end, and year-end payroll activities. - Perform or coordinate payroll audits to ensure legislative compliance and payroll accuracy. Qualifications - 2–4 years of payroll experience within high-volume payroll operations. - Strong experience managing end-to-end Canadian and/or US payroll processes, including balancing, quarter-end (US), ROEs (Canada), taxation, garnishments, legislative compliance, and year-end activities. - Availability to work part-time, approximately 32 hours weekly. - End-to-end payroll experience with strong analytical and technical capabilities. - Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving abilities. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels. - Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience. - Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and customer-focused mindset. - Ability to thrive in high-pressure and changing environments. - Ability to travel intermittently. - Flexibility to support operational hours between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM EST, including weekends and public holidays when required. Role Description As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for the payroll processing of new clients with the iSolved payroll (HCM) platform. Your duties include: - Ensuring clients process their first payrolls accurately and timely. - Providing ongoing training on Newtek (iSolved) payroll associated products. - Building long-term relationships with clients to ensure excellent customer service. - Using a consultative selling approach to upsell and cross-sell other Newtek business service solutions. - Maintaining a professional working relationship with internal and external customers.
