As a Virtual Science Teacher , you bring your classroom to life through a screen: - Deliver live, on-camera synchronous instruction for five (5) or more hours per day, every scheduled instructional day, creating an engaging and structured virtual classroom experience that inspires student participation and achievement. - Use student performance data to personalize instruction, identify learning gaps, and adapt your approach to meet each student where they are. - Provide timely, meaningful feedback on student work and maintain accurate records that keep students and families informed and on track. - Build genuine relationships with students and families through professional, proactive communication that fosters trust and shared accountability for learning outcomes. - Collaborate with school partners and Edmentum colleagues to ensure students receive consistent, high-quality support across their learning experience. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field. - Active state teaching license in Oregon, Wyoming, Colorado, Minnesota, and/or Wisconsin in Science grades 6-12. - Experience teaching in virtual and/or in-person settings. - Comfortable with the unique demands of a live online classroom. - Hands-on experience with online learning platforms, virtual instruction tools, and standard productivity software. - Data-informed: ability to read student performance data and use it to adjust live instruction. - Excellent communicator, in writing and verbally. - Highly organized and self-directed, with time management skills to independently manage a full student caseload in a remote environment. - Committed to professional growth, maintaining certification and staying current on K-12 curriculum, technology, and best practices. - Integrity, warmth, and a deep belief that every student can succeed. - Willingness to take on evolving responsibilities based on business needs. • Enhance the online customer training portal • Design/build customer education via e-learning modules using Camtasia, Articulate Rise 360, and Genially • Create courses from training event sessions • Be hands-on and focused on becoming a product expert • Collaborate on new and dynamic projects • Own larger projects from start to finish • Update and maintain existing Academy content • Work with PS and CS teams for education content integration • Identify and iterate on non-product training content • Create videos and courses based on the Education Content Roadmap • Collaborate on course development and certifications
