• Design and architect end-to-end data platforms using the Databricks Lakehouse architecture. • Define and implement scalable batch and streaming data pipelines using Apache Spark and Delta Lake. • Partner with engineering, analytics, and business teams to translate functional requirements into technical designs. • Establish and enforce data modeling, performance optimization, and cost-management best practices within Databricks. • Lead cloud-based implementations across AWS, Azure, or GCP, including networking, security, and access controls. • Provide technical leadership through architecture reviews, code reviews, and design sessions. • Support production environments by troubleshooting data quality, performance, and reliability issues.

• Analyze the current state, define target architectures (business, data and technology layers) and derive a long-term roadmap for data management and data usage • Design, implement and roll out governance models, RACI/responsibility matrices, policies, processes and KPIs to ensure data quality, data security and compliance • Identify and document data and metadata standards (naming conventions, data models, interfaces, quality metrics) and communicate them and provide training across the organization • Select and integrate technologies (data lake, data warehouse, streaming, master data management, data catalog, cloud services) and build scalable, resilient and performance-optimized platforms • Support project teams in implementing data science, reporting and integration projects, ensure alignment with governance policies and conduct architecture reviews • Define roles, responsibilities and training programs, coach business units and IT teams and promote a data-driven culture • Align data architecture with IT Service Management (ITSM), Project Portfolio Management (PPM) and Demand Management to ensure consistent processes and unified data services
