Coding Policy Analyst

• Responsible for the coordination of technically detailed work impacting operations and information systems within Providence Health Plan. • Update and create Coding Policies and associated edit configurations. • Reply to provider and member appeals providing rationale for Coding Policy edits. • Monitor changes to codes, coding guidelines, and regulations. • Serve as a coding subject matter expert for other departments within PHP.

Job Requirements

  • Coding certification through AAPC (CPC) or AHIMA (CCS) upon hire.
  • 5 years of experience directly related to CPT coding from chart extraction with a health care provider, health insurance company, or capitated managed care company.
  • 5 years of excellent writing and grammar skills required.
  • 5 years of demonstrated experience in detailed coding applications, as well as Microsoft Office capabilities, such as Excel, Word, and Access.

Role Description The Optum Serve IAM Provisioning Analyst is responsible for provisioning, modifying, and deprovisioning user access across enterprise systems by fulfilling access requests and related identity platforms while ensuring security, compliance, and service level expectations are met. Primary Responsibilities: - Execute standard user access provisioning, modifications, and deprovisioning based on approved requests and documented procedures. - Setup and maintain AD/EntraID accounts, mailboxes (on-prem & O365) and distribution lists throughout their lifecycle on multiple domains. - Process access requests through approved IAM platforms (e.g., Sailpoint, EntraID, Delinea). - Actively manage tickets and shared mailboxes, prevent access request backlogs, and assist with access requests submitted through ServiceNow, SECURE, or other enterprise request platforms. - Assist in maintaining supporting infrastructure systems within Optum Serve’s environment (RSA, Exchange, Brivo, Azure). - Escalate non-standard, high-risk, or unclear access requests to senior IAM team members or other IT teams. - Required to participate in a scheduled on-call rotation to assist with time-sensitive IAM requests and access issues outside of standard business hours, with guidance from senior team members as needed. - Maintain centralized documentation including SOPs, work instructions and other documentation as assigned. - Maintain accurate documentation and request notes to support audit, compliance, and reporting needs. - Support periodic access reviews and recertification campaigns, including remediation activities as assigned. - Follow security best practices, including provisioning “Least Privilege”, secure password sharing SOPs and securely identifying end users at the start of any interaction. Qualifications - Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field. - 2+ years of experience troubleshooting hardware and software access issues. - 1+ years of experience with IAM platforms (Entra ID, Active Directory, Sailpoint). - 1+ years of experience to provision, modify, and deprovision user and group access across multiple Active Directory domains while adhering to domain-specific policies, security controls, and documented IAM procedures. - United States citizenship is required for this position. - Ability to obtain and maintain a suitability or determination of eligibility for a Confidential/Secret or Top-Secret security clearance. Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience (preferred). - 3+ years of experience with IAM Platforms (preferred). - Ability to work independently and with IT or cross-functional teams (preferred). - Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills (preferred). - Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly document work, explain technical information to non-technical stakeholders, and collaborate effectively with team members and business partners (preferred). - ITIL certification (preferred).
