The Digital AssetManageris responsible forthe ownership, governance, and day-to-day operation of UMGC’s enterprise Digital Asset Management (DAM) platform,MediaValet,and otherdigital asset management tools such as Portfolio and digital sign management software.As the primary administrator ofthesedigital asset toolsfor the Marketing team, the digital asset managerserves as the point of contact for the vendorsand oversees the functioningofdigital asset managementplatforms.Thisrole serves as the system owner and subject-matter expert, ensuring digital assets are consistently ingested, governed,served to distribution channels as needed,andaccessible to internal teams, agencies, and global marketing partners while supporting enrollment-driven marketing initiatives and brand integrity. Duties and Responsibilities - Serve as UMGC’s primary administrator and functional owner of theMediaValetDAM platformand other digital asset management systems,ensuring ongoing alignment with marketing, creative, andinstitutionalneeds. - Configure andmaintainDAM system architecture, including metadata schemas, taxonomies, permissions, categories, workflows, and governance standards. - Lead asset ingestion, migration, tagging, lifecycle management, version control, and archival of image, video, and audio assets, including global digital signage content. - Define, document, and enforce enterprise standards for metadata, naming conventions, digital rights, usage guidelines, and asset governance. - Act as the primary point of contact for DAM training, support, best-practice guidance, and stakeholder enablement across internal teams, agencies, and international marketing partners. - Partner with internal stakeholders and vendors to support DAM enhancements, integrations, platform updates, adoption tracking, and continuous process improvement. Role Description The Associate Digital Asset Manager will work closely with the Digital Asset Supervisor and other Digital Asset Managers in a short-term role focused on completing the migration of assets into the Digital Asset Management system.
