Job Board

Role Description As the Senior Software Quality Engineer for our Release Testing team, you serve as the critical final gatekeeper for our Open NDR platform. You will ensure that the actionable insights generated by Zeek, Suricata, and YARA are delivered with absolute reliability to our global customers. By orchestrating complex, real-world network scenarios across cloud and on-prem environments, you bridge the gap between infrastructure and deep network analysis to ensure that defenders have a robust foundation to hunt threats and disrupt attacks. - Drive the End-to-End Testing Lifecycle: - Act as the final technical authority on product quality, leading the strategy for stable, high-performance releases across multiple concurrent projects. - Architect Scalable Test Infrastructure: - Design and maintain high-fidelity test environments across on-prem, virtual, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) using Infrastructure as Code (Ansible, Terraform). - Develop Advanced Automation: - Build and optimize sophisticated automated test frameworks and utility scripts using Python and Bash to ensure fast, reliable feedback loops. - Continuous Quality Integration: - Manage test code within Git and seamlessly integrate automated suites into CI/CD workflows to modernize our release cadence. - Network Protocol Deep-Dive: - Perform expert-level analysis of network traffic (TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, SSL/TLS) to design realistic test scenarios that mimic sophisticated production environments. - Cross-Functional Triage: - Partner with Development, Product Management, and the global QE organization to identify, prioritize, and resolve bottlenecks in the release pipeline. Qualifications - 5–10 years of professional experience in Software Quality Engineering, SDET, or Systems Engineering roles. - High proficiency in Python and Bash for infrastructure automation and tool development. - Hands-on experience with Ansible and Terraform, as well as production experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP). - Deep working knowledge of Linux administration (RHEL/Ubuntu) and core protocols including TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, and SSL/TLS. - Hands-on experience with security analytics tools such as Splunk, Elastic, or Microsoft Sentinel. - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related fields, or equivalent professional experience. Requirements - You are a proactive problem solver who doesn’t wait for instructions to address a bottleneck; you explore the "how" and "why" of system failures. - You have a proven ability to lead testing efforts across multiple teams, managing priorities effectively even when timelines or requirements are ambiguous. - You can visualize how complex network protocols and security insights interact across a geographically distributed, distributed-system architecture. - You take pride in being the final gatekeeper, ensuring that every release is robust enough to protect the mission-critical assets of our global customers. Benefits - Compensation Range: $145,000 — $180,000 USD - The compensation for this position may vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience. - Depending on the nature and seniority of the role, a percentage of compensation may come in the form of a commission-based or discretionary bonus. - Equity and additional benefits will also be awarded.

Role Description Ford Credit is seeking a highly driven, collaborative, and analytical End-to-End (E2E) Test Engineer / SDET to join our Enterprise Testing team. This is a crucial role in which you will act as the technical lead between our UI clients, partner platforms, and our backend infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration and functionality across our complex lending platforms. You must be a self-starter capable of mapping out and dissecting intricate processes, from the moment a dealer submits a loan application to the final backend data storage, all the way from inception to repayment, which includes multiple diverse systems until data flows to the data warehouse for reporting. If you are an exceptional communicator who can proactively drive quality initiatives, partner across architecture, product, and engineering teams, and figure out exactly how systems communicate under the hood, we want you on our team. What you'll do... - Cross-Functional Partnership: Actively partner with Business, Architecture, Product, Design, and Software Engineering teams to align testing activities with business acceptance criteria and architectural realities. - Journey Validation: Participate in and help facilitate mandatory "Cross-Functional Journey Review & Sign-Off" ceremonies to attest that all business-critical paths, edge cases, and transitional states are documented and tested. - Drive Quality Initiatives: Take a proactive, self-driven approach to identifying gaps in test coverage. Drive E2E quality initiatives, ensuring the testing strategy shifts left and adheres to the Testing Pyramid. - Full-Stack Analysis: Analyze business requirements to identify and map end-to-end user journeys (e.g., the complete Loan Origination flow) from the WebUI, through the Orchestration layer, down to backend dependencies. - Test Automation: Design, build, and refactor scalable automated tests for both UI and API-based E2E scenarios using Playwright. Create reusable libraries to ensure zero code duplication. - System Integration: Validate system interoperability, data flows, and API contracts between modern microservices and legacy systems. - Pipeline Integration: Integrate and maintain automated test suites within CI/CD pipelines (e.g., CloudBuild) to run on demand against selected cloud platforms (LambdaTest). - Data Migration & TDM: Validate complex data transformations (e.g., DB2 to PostgreSQL migrations). Work alongside Test Data Management (TDM) strategies to utilize masked, synthetic data for realistic test scenarios without exposing PII. - Squad Collaboration: Collaborate tightly with Stream-Aligned Teams (in-sprint testers) to transfer knowledge, review execution results, and prioritize testing based on risk and business impact. Qualifications - Strong programming background in Java and experience with build management tools (Gradle, Maven). - Expert-level knowledge of UI automation (Playwright) and API testing (Playwright, Postman, Hoppscotch). - Experience with BDD frameworks (Cucumber/Gherkin). - Deep understanding of how processes work end-to-end from both a UI and backend perspective. - Experience testing Orchestration layers (GraphQL) and microservices. - Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (GCP) and CI/CD version control (GitHub, CloudBuild). - Strong understanding of functional, integration, E2E, and regression testing. - Experience executing tests across multiple environments (SIT, UAT, PreProd). - Experience in Financial Services, specifically understanding the Loan Lifecycle (Originations and Receivables). - Knowledge of API contract validation methodologies. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and proactiveness. - Exceptional debugging and analytical skills with a strong user-centric mindset. Benefits - Immediate medical, dental, vision and prescription drug coverage. - Flexible family care days, paid parental leave, new parent ramp-up programs, subsidized back-up child care and more. - Family building benefits including adoption and surrogacy expense reimbursement, fertility treatments, and more. - Vehicle discount program for employees and family members and management leases. - Tuition assistance. - Established and active employee resource groups. - Paid time off for individual and team community service. - A generous schedule of paid holidays, including the week between Christmas and New Year’s Day. - Paid time off and the option to purchase additional vacation time. Company Description As an established global company, we offer the benefit of choice. You can choose what your Ford future will look like: will your story span the globe, or keep you close to home? Will your career be a deep dive into what you love, or a series of new teams and new skills? Will you be a leader, a changemaker, a technical expert, a culture builder…or all of the above? No matter what you choose, we offer a work life that works for you.
