Principal Cloud Platform Engineer

• Serve as the cloud infrastructure authority for our enterprise data platform • Partner closely with data engineers, analytics engineers, and business intelligence teams • Shape the AWS environment that drives data-informed decision-making across the enterprise • Lead design thinking, establishing cloud strategy, and driving cloud transformation across infrastructure, platforms, applications, and data services • Champion secure-by-design principles, lead vulnerability remediation, and establish engineering best practices • Mentor, guide, and teach engineers across IT • Ensure standards and procedures are followed during the design and implementation of cloud and information systems • Act as liaison to business units on changing needs and provide regular status updates to management

Job Requirements

  • 7–10 years of infrastructure or software engineering experience
  • 5+ years focused on cloud technologies, platforms, and transformation across AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Demonstrated experience leading cloud transformation strategy
  • Hands-on experience with cloud security best practices including least-privilege access, encryption, secrets management, network segmentation, and vulnerability remediation
  • Experience with DevOps/SecOps methodologies
