Role Description Design and build backend services, APIs, and orchestration layers powering agentic AI features in Python. - Develop, integrate, and harden LLM-based agents, tools, and multi-step workflows. - Own a scoped, business-critical project from design through delivery, with weekly mentor and program-lead check-ins. - Participate actively in code reviews, design discussions, and sprint cycles alongside the engineering team. - Write tests and contribute to documentation for the services and components they own. - Collaborate with frontend, data, and product partners to ship work end-to-end. Qualifications - Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related technical field at the rising-senior through in-progress master's level. Recent graduates within the last 6–12 months may also qualify. - Demonstrated proficiency in Python with the ability to write, debug, and reason about non-trivial code independently required. - Solid grounding in API design, data structures, and core backend architecture concepts required. - Working familiarity with Git and command-line development environments required. - Working knowledge of, or hands-on exposure to, LLM-based agents, tools, or AI-driven application workflows required. - Experience with Rust through coursework, production work, or substantive personal projects preferred. - A public portfolio (GitHub, personal site, or deployed projects) demonstrating backend or AI-related work preferred. - Prior internship, open-source contribution, or substantive personal project work in backend engineering or AI/LLM tooling. - Coursework or project experience involving agentic systems, distributed systems, or LLM application development preferred. - 1–2 years of relevant work, club, or volunteer experience in software engineering preferred. - Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly in technical contexts. - Ability to operate independently between weekly check-ins, surfacing blockers proactively rather than waiting to be asked. - Comfort working in production codebases with established conventions, code review processes, and engineering standards. - Genuine intellectual curiosity around AI, agentic systems, and emerging engineering patterns. - Attention to detail in code quality, testing, and incorporation of review feedback. - Ability to balance multiple workstreams and meet committed deadlines. - Demonstrated self-learner with interest in continued professional development and personal growth. • Manage and support the existing RPA engineering team day to day • Provide technical direction, code reviews, and mentorship across the team • Unblock engineers, manage priorities, and keep delivery on track • Contribute to hiring and growing engineering capacity over time • Write production-quality Python code as an active contributor, not just a reviewer • Help land RPA integrations into existing product infrastructure • Collaborate with product and engineering leadership to scope and sequence technical work • Ensure integration quality, reliability, and maintainability across the codebase • Oversee and contribute to the development of RPA workflows and automation systems • Ensure automations are built to scale and integrate cleanly with existing platform components • Identify and resolve technical blockers across active RPA development efforts • Maintain engineering standards and best practices across the team

• Design, develop, document, test and debug new and existing software systems, applications and/or components for market sale or proprietary software • Writes technical specifications based on conceptual design and stated business requirements • Continuously evaluate development progress against plans and intervene with lead developers, project managers, or consult with management to facilitate business outcomes • Responsible for following the team’s established Agile processes which includes supporting both short- and long-term planning, cross-functional support, and demonstrating working software • Provide detailed metrics related to turn time, workload, Kickbacks (and reasons), test coverage • Maintains knowledge of currently evolving platforms, programming languages, and web/database technologies • Stays up-to-date on business initiatives and objectives, particularly as these relate to infrastructure and development architecture issues • Serve as technical expert on development projects, participate in full development life cycle including requirements analysis, design, and deployments • Evaluates new platforms, technologies, and software products/techniques to determine feasibility and desirability of incorporating their capabilities within the company's products • Make design decisions which encourage leveragability, potential reuse, componentization, extensibility, maintainability, and are minimally coupled • Strategically align development capabilities with the future needs of our customers • Provide solutions and alternatives to impasses impacting timetables, scalability, and performance factors as they pertain to production, implementation and to technologies advancements for SitusAMC • Aspire to reach a higher level of CMMI and Agile practices; create repeatable process; ensure documentation is created, Maintained, trained upon, is readily accessible, versioned, and managed under change control • Assist in the development and Maintenance of detailed software engineering and development plans and processes • Continually improve, design or synthesis processes and software that materially differentiates SitusAMC brand and services • Oversight and guidance of new product initiatives ensuring adherence to architectural principles, drive engineering decision making based on sound business requirements; identify sources of technology improvement that can reduce development cost • Provide detailed metrics related to turn time, workload, Kickbacks (and reasons), test coverage • Recommends courses of action to maintain cost effectiveness and competitiveness • Advise and mentor team members as an escalation point • Such other activities as may be assigned by your manager.
