Control & Protection Commissioning Engineer – m/f/d
Switzerland Global Enterprise
• Support the testing and commissioning of Control & Protection (C&P) systems for AC, FACTS & HVDC Projects. • Execute commissioning activities, prepare documentation, and coordinate with internal teams and customer representatives. • Maintain commissioning documentation, including ITPs, checklists, test procedures, and reports. • Perform and support functional testing of control systems, SCADA, HMI, Automation, and Telecom systems. • Monitor, record, and report progress of commissioning activities on site. • Ensure compliance with safety requirements, quality standards, and applicable regulations.
Job Requirements
- Completed degree in electrical engineering, energy technology, or a comparable qualification.
- Significant knowledge and experience in commissioning of substation components such as protection relays, HV substation control systems, SCADA, HMI, and telecommunication structure.
- Understanding of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, interlocking logic and communication schemes.
- Fluent in English; additional language skills are a plus.
- Willingness to work on construction sites in Germany and abroad, and optional assignments on offshore platforms.
- German driver's license class B

Role Description We’re looking for an engineer that can help us on this journey - you will work on a small team with full agency and minimal red tape, owning entire product surfaces and driving toward a self-supporting system. This is the role for you if you’ve built your own AI productivity workflows, all your repos are full of skills, you’ve spent your career being responsible for the delivery of meaningful products and you never give up on new problems. Key Responsibilities - Work closely with product management and design to own engineering and technology for a product in the Watermark suite. - Design and ship autonomous AI systems to support the delivery, maintenance and improvement of the product. - Monitor and continuously improve the AI systems. - Create guardrail, evaluation, observability and feedback loop systems to ensure consistency and reliability of output. - Own the end-to-end client experience for your product surface, from feature delivery to production reliability. - Represent the growth team's perspective in cross-functional and leadership forums, building organizational understanding of and support for growth investments. Qualifications - Experience across front end, back end and cloud (AWS) stacks. - Hands on experience with production delivery of AI powered functionality using agent harnesses, orchestrators, UI integrations and agent observability platforms. - Experience being a solo developer with full technical agency, accountable primarily to outcomes. - Strong AI orchestration skills - your personal workflows are run by AI, your repositories are full of skills and you raise the floor of the teams you are a part of. - The maturity and desire to step into a leadership role, advocate for the systems you build and help propagate them across the organization. • Assist in packaging design and development activities under senior engineer supervision • Prepare and maintain packaging specifications, BOMs, and technical drawings • Support CAD modeling and packaging structure updates • Execute packaging tests per ISTA/ASTM protocols (drop, vibration, compression, climate) • Record, compile, and analyze test data; prepare test reports • Assist in packaging qualification documentation and ECO submissions • Support NPI packaging activities including sample preparation and testing • Assist in sustaining engineering tasks — ECOs, deviation requests, and change implementations • Coordinate with manufacturing teams on packaging-related issues • Assist in coordinating with packaging material suppliers for sample procurement • Support supplier qualification activities under senior engineer guidance • Ensure work is conducted in compliance with WD quality and safety standards • Assist in maintaining packaging documentation within WD QMS • Actively participate in training programs and technical workshops • Shadow senior engineers on complex projects to build technical competence • Take ownership of assigned tasks and deliver on time
