It is a collaborative environment with strong learning opportunities and exposure to complex contamination and remediation projects across a range of industries." - Greg Matthews Team Manager - Geosciences and Remediation Services We have a unique opportunity for an Environmental Scientist or Environmental Engineer to join our 'Geoscience + Remediation Services' Team based in Newcastle and to take the next step in their career. This position will provide experience and a greater level of responsibility working on a diverse array of high profile, major infrastructure assessment projects across a range of sectors, including Department of Defence, mining, transport (road/rail/ports/air), water utilities, energy, oil and gas, and urban renewal property sectors. Working amongst a team of peers and alongside our clients, while learning first-hand from our in-house national and international senior advisors and technical leaders. You will primarily assist with fieldwork and reporting aspects of multiple concurrent contamination investigations and remediation projects of varying size and complexity. You will be involved in: - Preliminary and Detailed Site Investigations - Data Management and Digital Reporting - Remedial Action Plans - Site Validation Reports - Waste Classifications - Site supervision and contractor management Qualifications What will a day in this role look like: Flexibility and a pro-active attitude will be key to your success in supporting the Newcastle office and the wider AECOM business.
