Job Description The Opportunity The Center for Space and Atmospheric Research (CSAR) at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Daytona Beach, FL campus invites applications for a Research Engineer/Scientist position in the area of ionospheric physics, remote sensing, and in-situ instrumentation. The primary function of this position is to support the ongoing ionospheric research in Space and Atmospheric Instrumentation Laboratory (sail.erau.edu). Duties & Responsibilities: Contribute to the development of in-situ instruments slated to fly on multiple upcoming sounding rocket missions and small satellites, and/or to the development of ground-based remote sensing instrumentation. Analyze and interpret data collected from in-situ observations, ground based remote-sensing observations and collaborate with other scientists working on the various projects. Operate, maintain, and conduct experiments in a plasma chamber. Specifically, as it relates to spacecraft charging and flight instrument characterization.
