Intermediate React Native Developer

Role Description They are seeking a React Native Developer to take a leading role in shaping their mobile ecosystem. This person will drive performance and reliability across platforms, and play a role in delivering white-labelled mobile applications used by customers in demanding, real-world environments. Work closely with product leaders, designers, and backend engineers to build cohesive experiences across platforms. This is a hands-on position for someone who wants to make a direct impact on product direction. This role can be done 100% remote, with a preference for candidates within an MT timezone. Responsibilities - Mobile Development & Architecture - Design, build, and maintain production-grade React Native applications for Android, with selective work across iOS. - Develop reusable, high-quality UI components with consistent behaviour across platforms. - Bridge React Native with native Android and iOS layers to achieve performance and stability at scale. - Web Development & Architecture - Contribute to the web application using React, Tailwind CSS, and modern front-end tooling. - Maintain design and functional parity between mobile and web platforms. - Support deployment and optimisation workflows using Nginx and related technologies. - Collaboration & Delivery - Partner closely with product, design, and backend teams to translate concepts into polished user experiences. - Participate in architectural design, sprint planning, and technical reviews. - Deliver features end-to-end with a strong focus on quality, performance, and usability. - Quality, Testing & Performance - Write clean, well-structured, and well-documented code with meaningful test coverage. - Contribute to CI/CD pipelines that automate testing and releases. - Proactively identify and resolve performance issues, memory leaks, and UI inconsistencies. Qualifications - 3+ years of professional mobile development experience, including 2+ years working with React Native. - Native Android development (Kotlin/Java) OR working knowledge of iOS (Swift/Objective-C). - Proficiency with JavaScript/TypeScript, React Native internals, and native module integration. - Experience building web applications using React, Tailwind CSS, and modern front-end toolchains. - Exposure to CI/CD tooling (Fastlane, GitHub Actions, Bitrise, EAS Build). - Understanding of REST APIs, offline storage strategies, and mobile performance optimisation. - Excellent communication skills and the ability to own complex problems from design to production. - Self-directed, pragmatic, and comfortable operating in fast-moving product environments. - Start-up experience preferred.
