Senior Strategic Communications Associate – Built Environment

• Poland Policy and Narrative Support: Maintain an overview of national policies affecting the Built Environment (such as EPC standards, heat pump mandates, and social housing retrofits), ensuring Polish communications are technically grounded and politically relevant. • Political and Media Monitoring: Monitor high-level political and media debates across Poland to identify emerging trends, ensuring the Hub’s Poland strategy remains proactive and responsive to shifting public sentiment. • Partner Ecosystem Mobilisation: Map and engage the landscape of Polish partners ranging from specific localised groups, such as city networks and trade unions, and high-level lawmakers, finance sector leaders, and broad civil society coalitions to amplify their overall impact. • Spokesperson Development: Identify and elevate new voices who can talk convincingly about the built environment sector in Poland, building communications capacity from the ground up to diversify and strengthen the national narrative. • National Strategic Delivery: Support the Europe Manager and Director in implementing the Poland strategy, ensuring it is evidence-based, achievable, and delivers measurable shifts in the public narrative. • Content and Narrative Development: Lead the production of Poland-specific communications by operationalizing multi-channel strategies. You will devise a wide range of materials such as press releases, social media content and blogs, in order to translate complex building data into compelling stories about health, affordability, and comfort. • Collaborative Implementation: Coordinate the local delivery of global milestones, as required by the team. • Cross-Border Campaign Alignment: Collaborate closely with the colleague based in Brussels to co-design and execute strategic campaigns, ensuring that Polish national activities are tightly integrated with broader European initiatives and advocacy goals. • Reporting and Impact: Monitor the impact and outcomes of your work, ensuring Poland-specific progress is clearly articulated to partners and the broader network.

Job Requirements

  • Solid professional experience in strategic communications, with a proven track record in media relations and/or digital campaigns within Poland market.
  • A deep understanding of the Polish policy-making process and the unique dynamics of the national housing and energy debate.
  • An active network of influential actors across Poland, such as journalists, lawmakers, civil society leaders, and progressive business voices.
  • Deep knowledge of the Polish media landscape and a track record of securing strategic story placements in national and trade outlets.
  • Fluency in English and Polish with exceptional skills in producing engaging and impactful communications materials.
  • The ability to deliver effectively with minimal guidance while thriving as part of a high-trust, international team.
  • Nice to haves:

You will ensure library materials are shelved accurately and create a positive and inviting atmosphere for all patrons. Your work will be with staff and volunteers, and you will contribute to the care of the library collection. This position creates a positive experience for Jefferson County Public Library (JCPL) patrons by shelving, transporting and retrieving materials. Employee needs to have the ability to use basic workplace technology including emails, internet and automated software. May also be responsible for answering the telephone, typing, performing data entry and filing. Position must comply with laws governing patron privacy and confidentiality under CRS24-90-119, and the Code of Ethics of the American Library Association, as well as ADA governing public access to space and technology.
