Job Requirements
- 2 years' HCC Coding experience
- 2 years' HCC Auditing experience
- Extensive knowledge of ICD -10
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- AHIMA certified credentials (RHIA, RHIT, CCS) or AAPC certified credentials (CPC, CPC-H, COC, CIC or CRC)
- A strong knowledge base of medical terminology, medical abbreviations, pharmacology, and disease processes
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment while maintaining high quality
- Must be able to follow instructions, meet deadlines and work independently
- Ability to be flexible in work environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to work in a remote environment and time management skills
- Working knowledge of the business use of computer hardware and software to ensure effectiveness and quality of the processing and security of the data

Experienced senior associates have, or are working towards, specialization in one or more service lines and are assigned to projects accordingly. Senior associates are assigned to a specific service delivery principal that is responsible for supervising the associate’s career development. We are currently staffing a Premium Auditor in our Commercial Lines business unit. This is a remote position, completing audits for work comp., general liability and commercial auto. As a Premium Auditor you will: •Perform virtual audits, using advanced knowledge and skill with minimal supervision. This will be for middle market and national accounts workers compensation, general liability, and commercial auto policies •Conducts detailed review of financial records, business operations, job functions, and payroll data to assess policyholder exposure and ensure proper classifications are applied according to state and bureau rules and regulations •Analyzes insurance policies to interpret and understand coverage limits, endorsements, and exclusions relevant to workers compensation, general liability and commercial auto •Collaborates with underwriters, agents, insureds, brokers and other internal/external groups to provide technical guidance on premium audit processes, address questions and explain audit results and calculations •Resolves audit disputes and discrepancies and assists in reviewing and clearing test audits and other bureau inquiries, especially those of high complexity •Priorities tasks, manages multiple audits simultaneously, and maintains high-quality standards What it Takes •Bachelors Degree required, preferably in Accounting, Finance or other Business related discipline •Minimum of 5 years of related work experience in the premium auditing field •License in Premium Auditing preferred •Completion, or actively pursuing designations of insurance courses such as CPCU or APA preferred •Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills along with analytical skills What You'll Receive At Sentry, your total rewards go beyond competitive compensation.
