Significant outside employment is not feasible. Candidates must reside in Oregon, Idaho, Washington, or Arizona. Under the general supervision of Distance Learning Solutions, Inc., the employee performs a variety of tasks, with the major responsibility being that of providing exceptional speech and language instruction and related educational services for families and students participating in a virtual schooling program. Job Characteristics: - Educational-related services include strong communication, evaluation, and observation skills. - Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. - Use of independent judgment and professional decision-making in situations where established rules, regulations, policies, or precedents may not exist. Primary Functions: - Employ best practices in individual and group treatment. - Monitor and evaluate student progress. - Track data for progress reports and treatment planning. - Use a web-based system to complete special education evaluations. - Participate in educational planning, referral, eligibility, and IEP meetings. - Collaborate and consult with general and special education teachers and parents. - Maintain accurate and complete student records and prepare reports as required by laws, district policies, and administrative regulations. - Communicate professionally via email, phone, and videoconferencing. - Participate in staff development activities, staff meetings, and individual meetings with the supervisor. - Adhere to the policies of the Fossil Distance Learning Program and procedures of the special education department. - Submit monthly documentation for mileage and appointments (when applicable). - Contribute to the continuous innovation that is required of a unique distance learning program. - Use a variety of office equipment, including computers, scanners and printers, and computer software and web applications. - Fulfill other duties as assumed or as assigned by the supervisor. - Demonstrate ownership and alignment with company quality standards when working with students, parents, colleagues, or others. - Maintain a courteous and positive demeanor in every interaction when responding to a wide range of inquiries from students, guardians, and colleagues. - Collaborate with peers and administrators in a professional, positive, and student-focused manner. - Maintain a strong and supportive company culture by supporting company recruitment, retention, and community outreach goals. - All other duties as assigned. Qualifications - Completion of Masters Degree. - Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in good standing. - Oregon SLP Active License. - Three years of successful experience as a speech-language pathologist. - Five years experience, preferred. - Must have a dedicated workspace free from distractions with consistent and reliable high-speed internet access for teleconferencing. - Operational knowledge of the Internet and Web-related technologies. - At least two (2) years of online experience is preferred. - Able to adequately meet legal requirements for performing this position. - Ability to pass required background checks. - Obtain CPR and First Aid certification. - Demonstrated competency through college preparation, practicum and internship, and/or experience in school-based speech-language services, and professional development. You will own end-to-end enrollment of providers and practice locations in Medicare via PECOS, manage credentialing with Medicare Advantage health plans, maintain accurate CAQH profiles, establish SOPs, and improve credentialing workflows. You will also work closely with our leadership team to innovate on our processes and systems. 💻 Your Key Responsibilities Manage provider enrollment & credentialing: Lead the full credentialing lifecycle for new and existing providers and practice locations — including Medicare (PECOS), Medicare Advantage plans, and other payers. Maintain provider data: Ensure CAQH profiles are complete, current, and accurately reflect provider credentials and practice information. Optimize workflows: Assess current credentialing processes, identify inefficiencies, and implement improvements using Airtable, automation tools, and best practices. Develop SOPs: Write, maintain, and iterate standard operating procedures for credentialing functions and integrate them into operational practice. Monitor compliance: Track credentialing status, re-credentialing deadlines, notices, and plan requirements to ensure uninterrupted provider participation in payer networks. Prior work with Medicare Advantage health plans and credentialing requirements. Tracking and project management tools: Comfortable learning and using tools such as Airtable, credentialing automation software, and common office/productivity apps. Detail-oriented & organized: You have impeccable attention to detail, stay organized, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Process mindset: Experience building SOPs and improving operational workflows.
