Oracle GoldenGate Solution Engineer

• Design, build, and operationalize CDC pipelines using Oracle GoldenGate to support near real-time data movement across platforms (e.g., DB2, Oracle → Snowflake, Kafka, Iceberg). • Configure and manage GoldenGate Extract, Replicat, and Trail processes across z/OS, distributed systems, and cloud environments. • Administer and support GoldenGate environments (on-prem and AWS), ensuring high availability, performance tuning, and platform stability across dev/test/prod. • Monitor CDC pipelines and proactively troubleshoot replication issues, including latency, failures, and data consistency gaps; execute restarts, backfills, and replays. • Collaborate with DBA, Data Platform, Infrastructure, and Security teams to onboard new pipelines, manage dependencies, and align with enterprise data priorities. • Support full pipeline lifecycle activities: environment setup, configuration, testing, cutover, and post-production stabilization across multiple concurrent programs. • Implement automation, observability, and CI/CD integration for CDC pipelines, including logging, monitoring (e.g., Splunk), and standardized deployment patterns using Terraform or similar tools. • Develop and maintain runbooks, standards, and patterns to scale GoldenGate adoption and reduce reliance on vendor support.

Job Requirements

  • Strong hands-on experience with Oracle GoldenGate in enterprise environments.
  • Deep understanding of CDC patterns, replication internals, and heterogeneous data movement.
  • Experience supporting GoldenGate across z/OS, distributed systems, and cloud (AWS).
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting replication issues, performance tuning, and ensuring data consistency.
  • Experience with automation, observability, and CI/CD for data pipelines.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform.
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work across multiple technical teams.
  • Excellent documentation habits and operational discipline.
