Title: Business Technology Trainer Location: Remote, based in Tulsa, OK Location: Remote, based in Tulsa, OK Employment Type: Part-Time, Temporary, Non-Exempt Pay: $23/hour Reports to: Program Manager About Genesys Works Genesys Works is a nonprofit organization that provides pathways to career success for high school students in underserved communities through skills training, meaningful work experience, and impactful relationships. Position Overview The Business Technology Trainer plays a key role in preparing high school seniors for corporate internships by delivering engaging, relevant technical and professional skills training. This role focuses on virtual instruction, mentorship, and student development, equipping young professionals with the skills needed to succeed in a corporate environment. Trainers foster a supportive learning environment while helping students build confidence, professionalism, and technical competency. Key Responsibilities Student Training & Mentorship (85%) - Deliver engaging, virtual instruction to two cohorts of students during the 8-week Summer Training program - Facilitate lessons using the Genesys Works curriculum, covering: - Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) - Project management fundamentals - Data analytics basics - Introductory IT concepts - Professional skills (communication, presentations, workplace expectations) - Build strong relationships with students through mentorship, encouragement, and consistent feedback - Create a positive and structured virtual learning environment that promotes engagement and accountability - Provide individualized support and coaching to help students grow and succeed Student Assessment & Program Collaboration (15%) - Assign and evaluate student work (quizzes, presentations, projects) in a timely manner using platforms such as Schoology - Track student progress and performance throughout the program - Collaborate with Program Coordinators through weekly check-ins and ongoing communication - Provide input to support decisions related to student internship placement Qualifications We are seeking candidates who are passionate about youth development, thrive in dynamic environments, and are committed to preparing students for success.
