Business Development Representative
Coral Care
Role Description As a Business Development Representative, you will be the first point of contact between Coral Care and prospective partners. Your primary focus is generating and qualifying new pipeline by identifying target schools, executing outbound outreach, and booking discovery conversations for our Account Management team. This is a hands-on sales role and a strong launchpad for a career in sales or account management. Responsibilities - Research and identify prospective schools that fit our target customer profile using CRM tools, online research, and internal data. - Generate new business opportunities through outbound prospecting via cold calls, email, and LinkedIn. - Conduct initial discovery conversations to understand prospect needs and assess fit. - Qualify leads against defined criteria and pass vetted opportunities to the Account Management team with clear handoff notes. - Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all outreach activity, pipeline status, and prospect interactions in CRM. - Meet or exceed weekly and monthly activity targets including calls, emails, and qualified meetings booked. - Collaborate with the Account Management and marketing teams to align on messaging, refine targeting, and share field feedback. - Continuously learn and improve — participate in trainings, meetings, test new outreach approaches, and iterate based on results. Qualifications - 0-3 years of experience in sales, business development, customer success, or a related role. - Strong written and verbal communication skills. You can write a clear, concise cold email and hold a confident phone conversation. - Self-motivated and goal-oriented. You'll own your activity and results without needing constant direction. - Organized and detail-oriented. Management of your pipeline and follow through on commitments. - Comfortable with rejection and able to stay persistent without being pushy. - Curious and coachable — you ask good questions, absorb feedback, and apply it. - Familiarity with CRM software (HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar) is preferred but not required. - Prior experience in school, education, or similar sales is a plus. Requirements - 30 days: You have completed onboarding, know our product and target customer well, and have your first outbound sequences running. - 60 days: You are having consistent discovery conversations and have booked your first qualified meetings for the Account Management team. - 90 days: You are hitting activity and pipeline targets, handoff quality is strong, and you are actively contributing feedback to improve our outreach approach.
