• Work directly with large clients (data centers, manufacturing, mining, etc) to address electric service connections, business opportunities, load service, generation, engineering, procurement, construction, load outlook and other electric planning requirements • Provide consultation to the client specific to project development associated with the electric grid interconnection • Assist and strategize in the development of win-win solutions for clients and the interconnection utility, as well as other stakeholders of the client projects • Provide opinions on the technical aspects of development projects as they relate to the electric facilities, estimated power demand, and the interconnection into the grid • Provide opinions and support specific to utility development trends that are occurring, as well as strategies to help clients stay ahead of these trends • Provide support on utility interconnection compliance as may be needed, including but not limited to, utility agreements, load studies, permitting, land rights, load ramp development, and new project connection(s) • Assist with the development and execution plans for contract interpretation, dispute resolution, utility tariffs administration and other rules and/or regulations related to electric service • Provide internal support for new project initiation, client agreements, cost estimating and tracking, variance reporting, invoicing, monthly project reporting, and additional business support functions
Job Requirements
- 15+ years of experience with electric utility service
- Delivery of distribution and transmission level service
- Knowledge of utility tariffs, utility agreements, and processes to apply for electric service
- Experienced in internal business practices for cost tracking, variance reporting and monthly status reports
- Understanding of utility rate structures
- Excellent communication skills
- Understanding of regulatory environment (experience with testimony a plus)
