Role Description In this role, your strategic vision will help advance public policy priorities, strengthen stakeholder relationships, and support initiatives that connect customers and communities through innovative solutions. This role supports strategic communications and stakeholder engagement efforts to advance the organization’s public policy objectives. The position plays a key role in analyzing policy issues, building external relationships, representing the company in the community, and supporting advocacy initiatives. Key Roles and Responsibilities: - Policy Analysis and Legislative Advocacy: - Analyze legislation, regulatory developments, and public policy issues affecting the business. - Advocate for the company’s policy priorities in public hearings and in meetings with state legislators, regulators, and staff. - Stakeholder and Community Engagement: - Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, community organizations, and third-party coalitions. - Represent the company on local boards and commissions and serve as a visible ambassador in communities the company serves. - Event Coordination and Community Relations: - Plan and manage community events that foster engagement among local stakeholders, elected officials, and community members. - Promote company initiatives and help address constituent and community concerns. - Cross-Functional Support and Special Projects: - Support activities related to Political Action Committee (PAC) engagement, internal collaboration, strategy development, lobbying efforts, negotiations, grant management, and other public policy or community-focused initiatives as needed. - Other Duties as Assigned: - Contribute to additional projects and responsibilities in support of business and organizational priorities. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) preferred - 5+ years of related experience required - Relevant certification may be required in certain areas Requirements - Must reside in the Portland, OR area.
