Role Description Fetch is America’s rewards app, and measurement sits at the center of everything we do. Every reward issued, advertiser invoice generated, partner payout processed, and trust signal delivered depends on our ability to accurately attribute real-world user activity across an increasingly complex ecosystem of partners, platforms, and channels. As Fetch expands across offers, shopping, dining, gaming, advertising, and credit card experiences, measurement has become both a foundational platform and a strategic differentiator. Today, attribution and event reconciliation span a fragmented landscape of MMPs, affiliate networks, DSPs, Conversion APIs, card-linked offer providers, and direct integrations, each with its own identity model, event schema, attribution logic, fraud posture, and reconciliation requirements. To support the next phase of Fetch’s growth, we are investing in a unified measurement and attribution platform that enables consistent, scalable, and trustworthy event attribution across the entire ecosystem. This includes building first-party measurement capabilities that reduce dependency on external intermediaries while improving accuracy, flexibility, reporting, and advertiser value. As a Principal Engineer in Measurement & Attribution, you will serve as the senior technical leader responsible for defining the architecture and long-term strategy behind Fetch’s measurement platform. You will partner closely with Engineering, Data, Ads, Growth, Finance, Legal, and Business Development to build systems that power attribution, reconciliation, fraud detection, reporting, and closed-loop measurement at massive scale. This is a hands-on technical leadership role with influence across multiple organizations. You will guide architecture decisions, establish technical standards, mentor engineers, and help shape one of the company’s most strategically important technical investments. This is a full-time role that can be held from one of our US offices or remotely in the United States. Qualifications - 10+ years of software engineering experience, including significant experience operating at the Staff or Principal Engineer level - Deep experience designing and operating distributed systems, large-scale event pipelines, or high-throughput data infrastructure - Strong background in backend architecture, attribution systems, event processing, or measurement platforms - Experience building systems that support high-scale user-facing applications and partner ecosystems - Hands-on experience with one or more of the following domains: ad tech, mar tech, mobile attribution, payments, identity resolution, fraud detection, or large-scale analytics infrastructure - Direct experience working with partner ecosystems such as MMPs, Conversion APIs, DSPs, affiliate networks, or card-linked offer platforms - Strong understanding of distributed systems concepts including idempotency, reconciliation, schema evolution, probabilistic matching, and exactly-once processing semantics - Demonstrated ability to influence technical strategy and architecture across multiple teams without direct authority - Experience partnering closely with Product, Data, Finance, Legal, and Business stakeholders to deliver measurable business outcomes - Strong written communication skills with the ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts and architectural tradeoffs - Familiarity with privacy, compliance, or financial reporting considerations including GDPR, CCPA, ATT, IFRS 15, or ASC 606 - Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering productivity and system quality - Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. Equivalent practical experience may be considered Requirements - Define the Technical Strategy for Measurement & Attribution - Own the long-term technical vision and multi-year roadmap for Fetch’s measurement and attribution ecosystem. - Drive architectural direction across event ingestion, identity resolution, attribution logic, reconciliation, reporting, and partner integrations. - Build a Unified Attribution Platform - Lead the development of a unified attribution spine that standardizes how Fetch measures user activity across offers, shopping, restaurants, gaming, impressions, and credit card experiences. - Architect Scalable Event Processing Systems - Design and evolve distributed systems that process billions of events across Fetch’s partner and consumer ecosystems. - Develop a Reusable Partner Integration Framework - Create extensible frameworks and tooling that simplify onboarding and reconciliation across MMPs, DSPs, affiliate networks, Conversion APIs, card-linked offer providers, and direct merchant integrations. - Advance First-Party Measurement Capabilities - Help Fetch build direct measurement infrastructure that competes with external intermediaries through SDKs, server-to-server pipelines, deterministic and probabilistic matching, fraud controls, incrementality measurement, and privacy-conscious identity systems. - Improve Trust, Reconciliation, and Auditability - Establish systems and standards for discrepancy detection, dispute resolution, fraud detection, payout accuracy, and audit-grade lineage from raw event to recognized revenue. - Drive Cross-Functional Technical Alignment - Partner closely with Product, Ads, Growth, Data, Finance, Legal, and Business Development teams to align technical systems with business strategy, partner requirements, privacy considerations, and revenue goals. - Mentor and Elevate Engineering Teams - Provide technical mentorship to senior engineers and emerging technical leaders. - Accelerate Engineering Productivity - Champion development practices and tooling that improve engineering velocity and system quality. - Model Technical Excellence - Lead by example through strong engineering judgment, pragmatic architecture decisions, and clear technical communication. Benefits - Competitive compensation packages including base, equity, and benefits.

• Own the end-to-end design and implementation of the AppGate observability fabric — from telemetry SDKs in our clients and gateways, to the LogForwarder pipeline, to customer-side integrations. • Make foundational technical decisions — transport protocols, sampling strategies, schema design, correlation models — that determine whether our platform scales gracefully to hundreds of millions of events per day. • Enable next-generation capabilities, including OpenTelemetry-Native Telemetry Fabric, High-Cardinality Data Pipeline, End-to-End Distributed Tracing, On-Demand Packet Capture, and more. • Define telemetry schema, correlation model, transport, and sampling strategies spanning client devices, controllers, and gateways. • Validate at Customer Scale: Test in lab environments matching our largest deployments and hunt down cardinality explosions and pipeline backpressure before customers see them. • Drive Integration Standards: Own the OTLP, Prometheus, and JSON-log compatibility surface and validate ingestion into Datadog, Splunk, Nexthink, and Elastic. • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work directly with product, R&D, and marquee customers in defense and critical infrastructure to shape requirements and deliver outcomes that matter.
