Senior Claims Data Analyst

• Independently lead complex, ambiguous analytics claims initiatives from problem definition through delivery, with clearly defined business outcomes and successful metrics. • Translate unclear stakeholder requests into structured hypotheses, analytical frameworks, and decision-ready insights for senior leadership. • Own the end-to-end design and delivery of complex claims analytical data models and high-impact Power BI dashboards, delivering clear, usable insights through strong storytelling and thoughtful design. • Write and optimize SQL queries to extract and transform claims data from enterprise sources, solving ambiguous analytical problems through deep root-cause analysis and insight generation. • Lead sophisticated analytical problem-solving using DAX, statistical methods, and trend analysis. • Ensure analytical rigor, data integrity, and governance across all owned datasets and reporting solutions.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher with a minimum of 6 years of analytical experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 4 + years’ experience in P&C insurance industry, preferably within claims.
  • Expert level proficiency in Power BI, including semantic modeling, advanced DAX, and visualization best practices.
  • Knowledge of SQL, with experience performing data pulls, joins, and aggregations on large datasets.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable business insights.
  • Knowledge of innovative methodologies, processes, and principles.
  • Effective communicator and collaborator, with the ability to partner cross functionally to translate data and analytical requirements into deliver measurable and actionable outcomes.
  • Ability to adapt and learn quickly in a fast-paced environment while balancing multiple priorities.

Deliverables The contractor shall submit the following deliverables under Task 2: - Economic analyses for fishery management actions. - Progress report including: - Accomplishments. - Issues encountered. - Travel (including purpose, significant outcomes, action items). - Recommendations, if applicable. - Trade Dashboard Data & Technical Inputs: Validated economic data sets and analytical summaries provided to the Office of Science & Technology to populate the Seafood EO Trade Dashboard. - Regulatory Impact Review (RIR) & Regulatory Flexibility Analysis (RFA) Reports: Comprehensive analysis of the economic costs, benefits, and impacts of proposed fishery management actions on small business entities (vessels, processors, and aquaculture). - Socio-Economic Impact Assessments (SIA): Detailed reports quantifying the effects of management options on fishing communities, including data on labor trends, crew participation, and impacts on marine-related businesses and the general public. - Fishery Management Action Technical Edits: Polished economic sections within larger fishery management documents, ensuring all inputs meet NOAA/NMFS leadership standards for clarity and statutory compliance.
