In this role, the Senior Class Giving Officer identifies and prioritizes donor prospects and manages two class-based portfolios of assigned prospects to build and sustain relationships that result in leadership annual gifts, as well as major gifts, in the five- to six-figure range. The position works with high-level donors and volunteers, and other key university volunteer leaders, and helps grow the pipeline of future philanthropic leaders for Stanford. As a people manager (with potential of 1-2 direct reports), the Senior Class Giving Officer leads and supports day-to-day fundraising activity and performance, while also recommending and collaborating with the Director of Class Giving on strategy for a cohort of reunion class years. In collaboration with colleagues across Development and campus partners, the role develops short- and long-term plans to strategically expand and strengthen the pipeline of new donors and to achieve fundraising results aligned with reunion and annual giving goals. The Senior Class Giving Officer maintains strong working relationships with campus partners, including central development, as well as school/unit colleagues, and Athletics, and development leadership, to advance Stanford's mission and coordinate outreach and solicitation strategies. The role, in collaboration with the Director, Class Giving, assists with developing fundraising strategies and supports the management of messaging for reunion appeals across channels such as direct mail, email, and digital communications. Travel is required, extensively, commensurate with Stanford's expectations for fundraising activity, contact and travel. Travel may include up to five (5) regional trips per year, typically 2-4 days per trip. Candidates who are remote from Stanford will also be expected to travel to campus up to four (4) times per year, in addition to and sometimes overlapping with campus travel. Overall travel is estimated at 15-20% annually (less for candidates based near Stanford). In this role, you may also support events by providing event management and marketing strategy, as needed, to support you and your team's work as a frontline fundraiser and volunteer manager, and the strategy to provide a sustainable source of revenue in support of Stanford and Class Giving's mission. This position is an ideal opportunity for a high-performing, strategic, flexible and experienced development professional to help make an impact on Stanford reunion's current and future fundraising success. In this role you will: - Work with a portfolio of assigned prospects and donors to cultivate, solicit, and steward their support. Regularly solicit and close total annual gifts typically in the $2M-$4M figure range per fiscal year. - Utilize industry best practices and a donor-centric approach in managing a donor portfolio. - Partner with gift officers across campus to cultivate, solicit and steward major gifts as a part of a volunteer, reunion, or other special engagement. - Establish ongoing relationships with individual alumni through personal visits, phone calls, and meaningful contacts, uncovering information about their philanthropic priorities and capacity, serving as a pipeline to major gifts. - Identify, recruit, and train volunteers, and maintain frequent contact with them through meetings, visits, email, and telephone calls. Prepare volunteers for future service, including serving on the Board of Trustees or other high level committees, through educating them about the philanthropic work. - Qualify prospects for potential major gift capacity and interest. Provide appropriate background on prospects to be assigned to Major Gift portfolios. When appropriate, make introductions to major gifts officers and facilitate cultivation activities for major gifts asks. - Participate in execution of events and programs in support of development activities. Engage key volunteers and effectively utilizes events and other activities to move solicitations forward. - Develop fundraising strategies, evaluate results across multiple campaigns or efforts and share results with the team in order to shape strategy and drive results. - Evaluate volunteer and prospect procedures and develop processes to optimize the solicitation and volunteer management experience for donors and volunteers and train team members in these processes. - Work closely with other colleagues in development to align program goals with the overall giving goals of the university's development organization. - Monitor, analyze, and report on overall results to internal and external constituencies. - Design annual gift programs and goals targeted at increasing unrestricted support for a school or unit. - Manage a small team, special projects or team-wide initiatives or projects on an ongoing basis to advance reunion strategy within the unit. Role Description As an Escrow Closer located in Texas, you will own the escrow closing process, including compliance with real estate contracts, lender instructions, title insurance requirements, and other written instructions. You will be the single point of contact for all parties from the time we receive the contract through closing. You will prepare all closing documents necessary to ensure title insurance is issued at closing. High levels of accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and focus on deadlines will determine your success in this role. - Manage the real estate closing process, including compliance with real estate contracts, lender instructions, title requirements, company requirements, and other written instructions. - Understand the escrow process to determine what steps need to be taken to transfer the title of property pursuant to the conditions called for in the real estate contract and lender instructions. - Collaborate with the title department to resolve title issues such as legal descriptions, easements, lot splits, vesting, all tax liens, abstracts of judgments, bankruptcies, boundary disputes, encroachments, lis pendens, etc. - Prepare all closing documents necessary to ensure title insurance is issued at closing. - Oversee the issuance of checks, bills and statements, receipts, and any other documents needed to ensure customer satisfaction. - Secure all documents (corrective and others) that may be required for the issuance of title insurance. - Single point of contact for Buyers, Sellers, Agents, Lenders, and others. - Assist customers and clients with closing related questions. - Prior to disbursement, confirm all funds are collected, all appropriate documents are checked for accuracy, signatures are collected, and acknowledgements and legal descriptions are correct. - Correct all taxes due, HOA dues, and any delinquencies and/or principal and interest. - Ensure all payoffs have been collected, mailed, delivered, or wired according to instructions. - Verify against the HUD statement that all disbursements have been paid correctly. - Prior to recording, verify all legal documents for correct acknowledgements, legal, and lien information. - When needed, delegate work to and manage work of escrow assistants in the real estate transaction process. - Manage and develop client relationships to ensure future real estate closing transactions.
