Role Description We are seeking a Senior Data Solutions Consultant with deep expertise in Apache Spark and Databricks. This role requires a decisive, agentic-forward approach to problem-solving. You will independently lead complex customer engagements, bridging hands-on data engineering excellence with strategic technical leadership. As a trusted advisor, you will proactively build and implement solutions that unlock significant value for our customers. Key Responsibilities - Customer Leadership: Lead engagements from discovery to delivery with full ownership and accountability. - Architecture & Optimization: Architect, implement, and optimize large-scale Spark/Databricks workloads focusing on scalability and cost-efficiency. - Spark Expertise: Apply expert-level Spark fundamentals to troubleshoot and tune distributed data jobs and SQL workloads. - Proactive Delivery: Design and execute PoCs and workshops to demonstrate solution vision and inspire customer confidence. - Strategic Advocacy: Act as a technical advocate for customers, anticipating issues and applying creative, data-driven solutions. - Cross-functional Partnership: Collaborate with product and engineering teams to improve customer experience and platform features. - Mentorship: Champion best practices in PySpark, Databricks, and Lakehouse design while mentoring junior engineers. Qualifications - 5–10 years in data engineering or analytics solution delivery. - 3+ years of hands-on expertise in Databricks, including job optimization, debugging, and workload governance. - Deep understanding of Spark Internals, PySpark, and Databricks SQL (DBSQL) performance tuning. - Strong knowledge of Delta Lake, Structured Streaming, and cloud infrastructure. - Proven ability to identify and solve complex technical problems with minimal oversight. - Exceptional skills to simplify technical complexity for business leaders. Preferred Qualifications - Databricks Certified Data Engineer Professional. - Experience with Delta Live Tables (DLT) and Unity Catalog (UC). - Experience in large-scale data migration or AI-assisted analytics in enterprise environments.

• Join sales calls as the subject matter expert and lead technical demos for the Voices Recording Studio to build client trust and drive conversions. • Define and confirm technical requirements—including formatting, metadata, and JSON structures—during the RFP and project intake phases. • Curate and organize our resale data library, acting as the 'Source of Truth' to provide accurate samples and data-driven proposals for the sales team. • Review internal contracts to ensure technical feasibility and work closely with Legal and Finance teams to minimize operational risk. • Distinguish between flexible 'alternative' suggestions and 'strict' technical requirements to ensure project deliverables align perfectly with client infrastructure.

• Works across a broadly cross-functional, cross-solution team to design solutions matched with each client’s specific business needs • Engages with business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions that drive business value • Models positive interaction with other internal groups at Blue Yonder and acts as a key contact for functional discussions as it relates to the Merchandise Operations solution • Provides oversight and mitigation to help manage escalations from Tier 1 / Tier 2 Blue Yonder customers • Interacts directly with Blue Yonder’s Merchandise Operations customers to develop a strong relationship and a clear understanding of processes, functions, integrations, etc. • Demonstrates excellence in service delivery to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction (CSAT) • Provides guidance on Root Cause Analysis process to help team reduce ongoing and repeat Incidents • Proactively suggests and gets involved in organizational initiatives contributing to the global processes to achieve success for Blue Yonder, its associates, and customers • Conducts functional analysis sessions with clients and/or the project team to understand the functional and technical needs of the client and develops business solutions to meet those needs.

• Act as part of a Services team, work productively with Consultants, Engineers and Project Managers, and other internal & external interfaces to ensure customer success • Provide technical support for proof of concepts and demonstration/prototypes • Work with Pre-Sales and Account Managers on opportunities within the country, engage early in the process with internal or external customer stakeholders to support the analysis of the customer’s business goals, objectives and needs • Provide input into and generate documentation to support rough order of magnitude (ROM) and Statement of work (SOW) creation • Establish, build and maintain effective relationships with internal or external customers technical peers • Set and manage stakeholders' expectations, demonstrating thought leadership to effectively influence key contacts and recommend solutions • Understand the context of the customer project, its contract type, key deliverables and the engagement model • Lead the application of Solution Definition, Systems Architecture, and Solution Enablement elements • Provide accurate and timely information to project management team and contribute to project support documentation.
