VP, Expansion

Cordance

• Own and drive cross-sell, upsell, and renewal revenue across all Cordance business units • Develop and execute a portfolio-wide expansion strategy across multiple industries and product lines • Identify and prioritize high-impact growth opportunities within the existing customer base • Align go-to-market teams across business units to drive coordinated account strategies • Break down silos and establish consistent processes for identifying and executing expansion opportunities • Ensure clear ownership, accountability, and collaboration across teams • Oversee renewal strategy and execution to maximize retention and reduce churn • Improve adoption, engagement, and long-term value realization • Build and manage expansion pipeline, with accurate forecasting across products and business units • Partner with Product and Pricing teams to refine packaging, bundling, and pricing strategies that enable expansion • Ensure visibility into customer data, usage, and expansion signals across platforms • Build and lead a high-performing expansion organization (account management, renewals, or hybrid roles)

Job Requirements

  • 10–15+ years of experience in revenue leadership roles (e.g., expansion, account management, customer success, or sales)
  • Experience within a software/SaaS environment
  • Proven track record of driving net revenue retention through cross-sell, upsell, and renewals
  • Experience operating across multiple products, business units, or industries
  • Demonstrated success navigating complex organizational structures and aligning diverse stakeholders
  • Strong analytical, forecasting, and pipeline management skills
  • Experience building and scaling high-performing revenue teams
  • Experience designing and implementing scalable playbooks, operating cadences, and cross-functional workflows
  • Bachelor’s degree required.

This includes: - Leading all of APA’s collective action work in this issue area. - Ensuring 75+ member organizations are getting the most out of their Alliance experience. - Overseeing 2 collective action initiatives already launched and three concepts currently in design. - Leading new idea generation in partnership with APA’s member organizations. The VPCA is the primary point of contact for the CEOs of the member organizations in this portfolio, helping members maximize the impact of their Alliance membership and ensuring high rates of satisfaction and retention. Core Responsibilities - K-12 Collective Action Leadership - Own the collective action initiatives from identifying opportunities to managing execution. - Lead the annual collective action ideation and vetting process. - Design new initiatives comprehensively, including theory of action and operating plans. - Build a critical mass of member organizations around each initiative. - Partner with APA's VP of Development to secure funding for initiatives. - Manage multiple active collective action initiatives simultaneously. - Support funder stewardship and reporting once initiatives are funded. - Membership Engagement & Community Building - Build and sustain peer-level relationships with the CEO and C-suite of each member organization. - Partner with APA's VP of Alliance Growth to recruit and onboard new organizations. - Ensure high rates of satisfaction and retention in the portfolio. - Lead all aspects of the annual K-12 issue area convening. - Translate member needs into concrete programming. - Foster a genuine sense of belonging among members.
