Role Description The Vice President, Collective Action, K-12 & Youth Development (VPCA) oversees the work in APA’s Aligning K12 Education and Youth Development issue area. This includes: - Leading all of APA’s collective action work in this issue area. - Ensuring 75+ member organizations are getting the most out of their Alliance experience. - Overseeing 2 collective action initiatives already launched and three concepts currently in design. - Leading new idea generation in partnership with APA’s member organizations. The VPCA is the primary point of contact for the CEOs of the member organizations in this portfolio, helping members maximize the impact of their Alliance membership and ensuring high rates of satisfaction and retention. Core Responsibilities - K-12 Collective Action Leadership - Own the collective action initiatives from identifying opportunities to managing execution. - Lead the annual collective action ideation and vetting process. - Design new initiatives comprehensively, including theory of action and operating plans. - Build a critical mass of member organizations around each initiative. - Partner with APA's VP of Development to secure funding for initiatives. - Manage multiple active collective action initiatives simultaneously. - Support funder stewardship and reporting once initiatives are funded. - Membership Engagement & Community Building - Build and sustain peer-level relationships with the CEO and C-suite of each member organization. - Partner with APA's VP of Alliance Growth to recruit and onboard new organizations. - Ensure high rates of satisfaction and retention in the portfolio. - Lead all aspects of the annual K-12 issue area convening. - Translate member needs into concrete programming. - Foster a genuine sense of belonging among members. Year-One Priorities - Build great relationships with the CEOs and leadership teams of the members. - Ensure the success of two active collective action initiatives already launched. - Finish the design and vetting of 3 new collective action initiatives. - Lead the annual K-12 issue area convening. - Develop and execute a member retention and engagement strategy. How Success Will Be Measured - Success of current collective action initiatives. - Ability to bring new collective action initiatives to life. - Member retention, satisfaction, and engagement in the Alliance community. - Anchor funding secured for new initiatives. - Convening quality, impact, and member satisfaction. - Overall community cohesion and sense of belonging among members. Qualifications - 15+ years of progressive senior leadership with demonstrated growth in scope and responsibility. - Deep K-12 expertise, including a strong understanding of school systems. - Nonprofit operating experience. - Operator and executor mindset. - Executive-level relationship builder. - Collective action instincts. Requirements - Experience at the intersection of K-12 systems and national nonprofit organizations. - C-suite or VP-level tenure at a national nonprofit organization. - Fundraising experience with education-focused foundations. - A well-established professional network in K-12. Role Description Breakwater Markets is seeking a results-driven Vice President of Wholesale Brokerage to play a foundational role in building and scaling its transportation-focused wholesale platform. This is a senior leadership role with direct impact on production, portfolio quality, and carrier partnerships. The VP will be responsible for developing and executing a wholesale brokerage strategy that drives profitable growth, deepens carrier relationships, and expands our market presence nationwide. This role reports to senior leadership and will work cross-functionally with underwriting, operations, and actuarial teams to ensure our wholesale business operates with discipline, efficiency, and a long-term growth orientation.
