Role Description As the Program Coordinator, Environmental Health and Safety (EHS), you will provide environmental compliance support. If you’re excited about the challenge of working for a dynamic global company, we have an opportunity for you to grow with GXO. What you’ll do on a typical day: - Advise and lead associates on various safety-related topics. - Conduct and/or coordinate inspections, safety audits, and environmental audits for campus locations. - Lead safety meetings and ensure proper training of associates on safety and health requirements and policies to ensure compliance. - Investigate accidents or incidents to discover root causes and recommend solutions, improvement opportunities, or preventive measures. - Provide elevated support to the EHS team, ensuring all aspects of EHS compliance are met at the highest level. - Maintain, coordinate, and communicate EHS processes and procedures. - Review, administer, maintain, and ensure compliance with company policies and various state and federal regulations. - Review, research, develop, and communicate EHS programs and solution initiatives; develop action plans as necessary. - Other duties as assigned. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work or military experience. - At least 1 year of EHS experience. - Basic working knowledge of OSHA and EPA standards. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and computerized scanner equipment. - Availability to work a flexible schedule as needed, including planned and unplanned overtime, which may include weekends. Requirements - Background or current certification in CPR, AED, and BBP. - Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent related work or military experience. - Strong time and project management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize workloads. - Experience in EHS within a warehousing or distribution environment. - Understanding of industry-related state and federal rules and regulations. - Self-motivation to work independently or in a team environment. - Spanish language proficiency.
