Role Description As Founding GTM & Biz Dev at Valent, you will work directly with the founder to: - Identify the right customers and understand their workflows. - Refine our positioning and generate pipeline. - Run outreach and support sales conversations. - Help shape the company’s early revenue and partnership strategy. You will operate across the full commercial stack: - Prospecting and lead research. - Outbound campaigns and CRM management. - Discovery calls and strategic partnerships. - Sales materials and customer interviews. - Competitive research and feedback loops between the market and product. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role for someone who wants to: - Help figure out what works and build relationships from scratch. - Shape how the company grows. Qualifications - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to write thoughtful, concise, personalized outreach. - Experience in sales, business development, founder-led sales, recruiting, growth, partnerships, market research, consulting, or similar roles. - Highly organized with the ability to manage follow-ups, CRM data, pipelines, and multiple moving pieces. - Curious about enterprise workflows, manufacturing, compliance, quality, procurement, and operations. - Comfortable speaking with senior professionals and asking thoughtful discovery questions. - Ability to operate with urgency without sacrificing quality. - Willingness to test, learn, iterate, and improve based on market feedback. - Desire to join early and help shape the commercial foundation of a company. Requirements - Experience with B2B SaaS sales or business development. - Experience in founder-led sales or early-stage startup GTM. - Experience with outbound prospecting on LinkedIn and email. - Familiarity with tools like Sales Navigator, Apollo, Clay, HubSpot, Attio, or similar. - Experience selling to manufacturing, supply chain, quality, procurement, compliance, or operations teams. - Experience with enterprise software, workflow software, compliance software, or AI products. - Experience in customer discovery, user interviews, or market research. - Experience in strategic partnerships or ecosystem development. - Experience writing sales copy, landing page copy, or product messaging. - Experience building lead lists and researching niche markets.
