• Manage the day-to-day relationship and workflow with the external data agency across BigQuery, ETL pipelines, data modeling, dashboards, and reporting requests. • Define project scopes, priorities, timelines, tickets, and acceptance criteria for analytics initiatives. • Review and validate agency deliverables for accuracy, logic, documentation quality, naming consistency, and business relevance. • Maintain and prioritize the company analytics roadmap across leadership, marketing, finance, operations, e-commerce, and growth teams. • Ensure analytics projects are delivered on time with clear requirements and minimal revisions. • Escalate blockers and ensure projects remain on track. • Validate dashboards, SQL queries, data models, funnel reporting, and KPI outputs against source systems and business rules. • Investigate discrepancies, tracking issues, missing data, duplicate events, and reporting inconsistencies. • Develop and maintain QA processes, reconciliation workflows, metric dictionaries, and reporting documentation. • Own and enforce company-wide metric definitions including revenue, CAC, contribution margin, shipping, refunds, discounts, subscriptions, marketplace reporting, and attribution rules. • Ensure consistency across BigQuery, BI tools, Amplitude/PostHog, marketing platforms, and finance reporting. • Proactively identify and resolve discrepancies, reporting gaps, and tracking issues before they impact stakeholders. • Write and optimize SQL queries in BigQuery to answer business questions and support operational decision-making. • Build and maintain dashboards, recurring reports, and executive-level visualizations. • Support daily ad hoc reporting requests while improving long-term self-service reporting capabilities. • Analyze e-commerce performance across acquisition, conversion rate, retention, LTV, AOV, subscriptions, customer cohorts, product performance, shipping, and marketplaces. • Translate analytical findings into actionable business recommendations while clearly communicating assumptions, caveats, and confidence levels. • Deliver reporting and insights that are trusted, actionable, and easy for teams to interpret and use. • Partner with developers and the external agency to maintain accurate event tracking, data ingestion, and instrumentation. • Support implementation and QA for GTM, pixels, server-side tracking, browser-based tracking, webhooks, and related analytics infrastructure. • Manage and validate funnel reporting and user journey analysis within Amplitude or PostHog. • Identify tracking gaps, event taxonomy issues, and opportunities to improve reporting quality.
Job Requirements
- Prior experience in e-commerce analytics
- Strong SQL skills, preferably within BigQuery
- Experience validating dashboards, datasets, and business metrics with high attention to detail
- Experience managing analytics vendors, agencies, or cross-functional analytics projects
- Proficiency building dashboards and recurring reporting within BI or visualization tools
- Strong business acumen and communication skills with the ability to explain analytical findings clearly
- Ability to learn and consistently apply company-specific reporting definitions and business logic
- Highly organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong ownership mentality with a proactive approach to problem solving
- Business-minded with an understanding of how analytics impacts profitability and operational decisions
- Clear and confident communicator who can challenge assumptions constructively
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy and validation.
