Role Description At Parto, we are on a mission to revolutionize the way financial processes work in social care institutions. As the first Social Impact FinTech, we are tackling one of the most pressing demographic challenges of our time: the rapid growth of people in care and the critical shortage of caregivers. Our innovative financial infrastructure ensures real digital inclusion for people in care while drastically reducing administrative burdens for welfare organizations and care facilities. We offer business accounts, escrow accounts, and Parto VISA cards designed for care professionals and the individuals they support. Our software helps facilities significantly reduce cash usage and fully automate business expense reconciliation. Additionally, we integrate with the most relevant ERP systems in the industry to minimize time-consuming manual processes. By cutting process costs by over 75%, we free up valuable time and resources—allowing care professionals to focus on what truly matters: the people in their care. We believe in small, autonomous teams that are highly productive, passionate about impactful work, and committed to supporting each other—whether through peer coding, manual testing, or engaging onsite sessions wherever we meet. Currently, our team includes five Backend Engineers and two Frontend Engineers, located across Europe. Qualifications - At least 5+ years as Software Engineer ideally in a product-driven, fast paced environment — customer-facing context, not just executing tickets. - Hands-on experience designing distributed systems, applying architectural patterns, and building secure, multi-tenant applications. - Structured, self-directed way of working — proactive communication in a remote setup. - Technology as a means to solve real customer problems, not just for elegance of implementation. - Experience with business expense or accounting platforms, or SaaS solutions is a plus. - Full ownership from product discovery to production deployment. - Ability to maintain team spirit and culture while diving deep into development. - Based in the EU, preferably in Germany. Requirements - 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer. - Experience in a product-driven, fast-paced environment. - Hands-on experience with distributed systems and secure applications. - Proactive communication skills. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively in small teams. - Desire to make an impact in the social sector.
