Job requirements We&rsquo;re looking for a seasoned Technical Lead- Full Stack with deep full‑stack expertise to architect, build, and scale cloud‑native applications. In this role, you&rsquo;ll guide the design and development of backend services, modern React frontends, and AWS‑based infrastructure while mentoring engineers and shaping technical strategy. You&rsquo;ll work closely with product, operations, and customer stakeholders to translate business needs into high‑quality, resilient, and well‑tested software solutions. Location: Hybrid, in our Lake Mary office a minimum of 3 days per week. What You&rsquo;ll Do - Collaborate with product team, business operations, and customers to understand and develop product requirements - Design, architect, and lead the development of new full stack applications, APIs, and solutions - Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical decision-making - Participate in code reviews and maintain engineering standards - Develop responsive, user-friendly React frontend interfaces - Build robust backend services with comprehensive test coverage - Optimize database performance and manage complex data relationships - Architect and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS</li> - Write and maintain automated unit and integration tests - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions What You Bring - 12+ years of overall experience, of which at least 4-5 years as a team leader/delivery lead - Strong expertise in Java, Scala, or Kotlin - Strong expertise in Spring Boot, Spring Framework, and related projects - Frontend development experience with React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript - Advanced SQL skills with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL - Significant hands-on experience building and operating cloud native applications on AWS. - Testing expertise including automated unit and integration testing - Experience with distributed systems and microservices architecture - Strong understanding of software engineering best practices Preferred - Experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code - End-to-end testing experience with frameworks like Playwright or Cypress - Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) - Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices - Background in high-traffic, production environments Aptia is committed to creating a diverse, inclusive and equitable work environment. • Create new managed compute primitives that feel first-class in Temporal Cloud: crisp abstractions, clean APIs, and an extension story across compute providers. • Design self-optimizing autoscaling systems (signals, backstops, debouncing, guardrails) that scale worker fleets safely and predictably. • Define the Open Source Server ↔ Cloud boundary for compute capabilities, keeping the architecture cohesive and maintainable. • Architect, build, and operate services on the hot path of task execution where performance and correctness are customer-visible. • Deliver real-world cloud integrations (e.g., customer-account execution): IAM boundaries, secure credentials handling, networking constraints, quotas, and failure modes. • Make operability a feature: SLOs, tracing/metrics, load and failure testing, incident reviews, and continuous hardening. • Ship end-to-end: API design, rollout strategy, backwards compatibility, and long-term maintenance. • Raise the bar through design docs, strong reviews, pragmatic technical leadership, and mentorship. • Lead through influence across teams (Server, SDKs, Security, Control Plane) to land coherent platform changes.
