About the role: We're hiring a Software Engineer to help build and scale the systems that power Collective's accounting product, the connection between our members' bank activity, bookkeeping, and tax outcomes. You'll work across the stack on the platform that automates reconciliation, ingests transaction data from our banking and accounting partners, and turns raw financial activity into clean, member-ready books. This is a product engineering role with real ownership, working closely with Product, Design, Operations, and our in-house accounting team to ship fast and iterate based on member and operator feedback. You'll be expected to use modern AI tools and agent-based workflows to accelerate development, improve code quality, and unlock new product capabilities. This role is ideal for engineers who are hungry to grow into broader ownership, think in terms of outcomes, and see AI as a core part of how software gets built today. • Supports the design, development, test, and integration of software models to emulate the behavior and functionality of hardware components or systems to provide an all-software test and integration environment • Partners with hardware engineers by contributing to the identification and review of requirements and specifications for the hardware being emulated • Supports the development, automation, test, integration, and administration of emulation strategies and technologies • Supports the development of verification plans, test procedures and test environments, executing the test procedures and documenting test results for emulation technologies • Supports collecting and analyzing in-use product data to design new or enhance existing products • Contributes to the identification, debugging, and resolution of issues to ensure the reliability and efficiency of software products • Supports advising on software domains related to emulation technologies • Supports creating and updating policies, practices and processes for emulation and virtualized resource management • Supports implementing current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks and changes in regulations relevant to hardware emulation • Supports hardware emulation project management activities
