• Architectural Design & Adaptation: Define or adjust the existing architecture to align with the specific requirements of DataHub platform’s, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security. • Data Modelling & Normalisation: Conduct thorough data analysis, create Entity‑Relationship Diagrams (ERDs), and apply Boyce‑Codd Normal Form (BCNF) to guarantee optimal data structure and minimal redundancy. • Technical Support for Integration Teams: Assist the technical teams that use the DataHub platform by providing guidance, troubleshooting, and best‑practice recommendations during system integration activities. • Issue Resolution: Identify, analyse, and resolve technical problems that arise during the operation of the solution, ensuring minimal disruption to services. • Component & Building‑Block Development: Design and develop reusable architecture components and building blocks that can be leveraged across multiple projects and modules. • Collaboration & Communication: Participate actively in technical working groups, progress meetings, and user‑focused sessions to convey architectural decisions, gather feedback, and align expectations.

• Support Application Developers in designing, implementing and testing database changes to support business applications as needed by our clients • Assist developers in SQL development, performance analysis and index recommendations using a variety of tools such as db2 explain • Assist with pro-active and advisory DBA services with our db2 portfolio of clients • Support Database Administrators and Systems Administrators during patching of operating systems and database systems • Assist with documentation/SOP development and mentoring offshore administrators • Ability to work during non-business hours including weekends and holidays, as needed • Design and plan upgrade strategies on a mix of db2 environments including TSM, Pacemaker, and both on-prem and db2 RDS in AWS • Experience with planning, documenting and performing upgrades and migration, setting up new database environments on db2 LUW v11.5, v12.1, and db2 RDS

• Perform day-to-day monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Oracle 12c, 19c, and 21c environments. • Proactively identify bottlenecks using AWR, ADDM, and ASH reports. Optimize complex SQL queries and memory structures. • Manage and maintain Oracle RAC, Data Guard, and GoldenGate for real-time replication and disaster recovery. • Execute quarterly RU/PSU patching and ensure compliance with security standards (encryption, auditing, and user access control). • Lead the migration of on-premises databases to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), AWS (RDS/EC2), or Azure. • Implement and manage Autonomous Databases (ADW/ATP) and Exadata Cloud Service. • Utilize Terraform or Ansible to automate database provisioning and configuration management. • Assist in designing scalable, multi-tenant architectures that align with the customer’s long-term digital transformation goals. • Ensure all database services meet or exceed defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs). • Translate technical database concepts into business value for stakeholders. • Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for critical production outages.

Role Description Maintain responsibility for implementing and maintaining one or more complex databases. Analyze the design, development, and delivery or implementation of data solutions, including: - Architecture design - Prototyping of concepts to proof of concept - Analysis of the development of standards - Design and test plans - Code and module design development and testing - Data solution debugging - Design and implementation of a solution that follows efficient design techniques - Development that meets and exceeds the intent of the design of the data solution Assist with the planning and engineering of the organization's databases. Qualifications - Experience with a complex build system - Experience configuring, integrating, and securing database offerings (ex. RDS, Aurora, Cassandra, and Dynamo) - Experience supporting Linux systems engineering efforts in system design and evaluation, solution engineering, software development, or system administration - Experience with Database Schema as Code tools - Ability to design and develop complex SQL queries and reports to retrieve required data - Experience with database partitioning and microservices - Knowledge of Agile methodologies or the software development life cycle (SDLC) - Experience with installation, maintenance, and administration of Oracle - We are unable to support other DBMS for this position.
