Role Description Maintain responsibility for implementing and maintaining one or more complex databases. Analyze the design, development, and delivery or implementation of data solutions, including: - Architecture design - Prototyping of concepts to proof of concept - Analysis of the development of standards - Design and test plans - Code and module design development and testing - Data solution debugging - Design and implementation of a solution that follows efficient design techniques - Development that meets and exceeds the intent of the design of the data solution Assist with the planning and engineering of the organization's databases. Monitor performance, scalability, and security and evaluate existing database design to determine: - The necessary updates and integration requirements of a new design - Ensure final solutions meet organizational needs Position is 100% remote - Monday-Friday 8:00 AM EST to 4:30 PM EST. Qualifications - Experience with a complex build system - Experience configuring, integrating, and securing database offerings (ex. RDS, Aurora, Cassandra, and Dynamo) - Experience supporting Linux systems engineering efforts in system design and evaluation, solution engineering, software development, or system administration - Experience with Database Schema as Code tools - Ability to design and develop complex SQL queries and reports to retrieve required data - Experience with database partitioning and microservices - Knowledge of Agile methodologies or the software development life cycle (SDLC) - Experience with installation, maintenance, and administration of Oracle - We are unable to support other DBMS for this position.
