Senior Oracle Database Administrator

• Perform day-to-day monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Oracle 12c, 19c, and 21c environments. • Proactively identify bottlenecks using AWR, ADDM, and ASH reports. Optimize complex SQL queries and memory structures. • Manage and maintain Oracle RAC, Data Guard, and GoldenGate for real-time replication and disaster recovery. • Execute quarterly RU/PSU patching and ensure compliance with security standards (encryption, auditing, and user access control). • Lead the migration of on-premises databases to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), AWS (RDS/EC2), or Azure. • Implement and manage Autonomous Databases (ADW/ATP) and Exadata Cloud Service. • Utilize Terraform or Ansible to automate database provisioning and configuration management. • Assist in designing scalable, multi-tenant architectures that align with the customer’s long-term digital transformation goals. • Ensure all database services meet or exceed defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs). • Translate technical database concepts into business value for stakeholders. • Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for critical production outages.

Job Requirements

  • 7–8 years of dedicated Oracle DBA experience, preferably within a Managed Services Provider (MSP) or a large-scale enterprise environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) is required; OCI Solutions Architect or Autonomous Database Specialist certifications are highly desirable.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to manage client expectations during high-pressure migrations.
