• Design and deliver modern data platforms using tools like Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, Azure, Fivetran, Coalesce, dbt, and Power BI • Build and maintain scalable data pipelines and data models • Ensure data quality, reliability, and governance standards are met • Support data integration, transformation, and warehousing processes • Contribute to internal standards, frameworks, and best practices • Collaborate with technical teams to improve data architecture and performance • Continuously improve data workflows and engineering processes

Job Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in data engineering or modern data platform delivery
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and Python
  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, Fivetran, Coalesce, or dbt (data build tool)
  • Solid understanding of medallion architecture and dimensional modelling
  • Familiarity with data governance and metadata tools such as Microsoft Purview and Coalesce Catalog
  • Experience using AI tools such as Claude, Snowflake Cortex, or similar to accelerate development
  • Experience building data pipelines and data products supporting AI/ML use cases, with understanding of clean, model-ready data
  • Proven ability to own and deliver end-to-end projects with measurable outcomes
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with clients directly
  • Consulting experience is a plus, but a strong client-first mindset is essential

Job Description Join the BAE Systems Mission Integration Solutions (MIS) team in our new role as Lead Software & Data Architect. This is a key role leading our software and data architecture across multiple lines of effort including aviation, space, digital infrastructure and physical infrastructure; for some of our nation's largest and most critical defense programs.
