Role Description The Business & Data Visualization Analyst will play a critical role within WWT's Managed Services organization, Day 2 Operational Services, responsible for transforming complex data into clear, actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making across the organization. This position owns the design, development, and maintenance of interactive dashboards and reports — primarily in Power BI — while also working closely with databases to build, manipulate, and optimize queries and data structures. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise in data visualization and SQL, pairs it with strong analytical and communication skills, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where requirements evolve quickly. Success in this role requires the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels, translate business needs into meaningful data products, and deliver with both speed and precision. - Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, ServiceNow, Excel, Smartsheet), including building data models, creating charts and infographics, and optimizing performance. - Partner with executives, leadership, and business stakeholders to gather requirements, define KPIs, and translate complex datasets into clear, actionable insights that support strategic decision-making. - Analyze business data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities; perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) and structure large datasets to surface usable information and gaps. - Design and implement SQL queries, stored procedures, and data transformations in Microsoft SQL Server; manage data sources within the data warehouse and organize into tables and views for efficient retrieval and analysis. - Integrate and transform disparate data sources, applying appropriate data hygiene techniques; perform reconciliation and validation across multiple sources and warehouses to ensure data accuracy and reliability. - Troubleshoot data inconsistencies and performance issues, delivering timely solutions while maintaining ongoing data quality through regular validation checks. - Document visualization processes, methodologies, and best practices; provide training and support to business users on interpreting and interacting with data products. - Stay current with industry trends and emerging tools; contribute to data strategy by recommending best practices for data management and visualization. - Thrive in a fast-paced, remote environment — balancing multiple priorities, meeting deadlines, and maintaining a self-starter mindset with openness to feedback and evolving direction. Qualifications - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience. - ITIL certification(s) preferred but not required. - Certification in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate) is a plus. - Microsoft-related certifications (e.g., Power BI, SQL Server) are a plus. - 5 to 8 years of relevant business experience in reporting, data analysis, or a similar area. - Senior-level, proven experience with Power BI and Microsoft SQL Server. - Experience working with large, complex datasets in a fast-paced environment. - Experience in a technology industry with relevant domain knowledge preferred. Requirements - Advanced Power BI expertise including Power Query/M, DAX, data modeling, composite models, incremental refresh, RLS, deployment pipelines, and paginated reports; proficiency with Tableau, ServiceNow, and other business intelligence and visualization platforms. - Ability to design and implement robust semantic models (star/snowflake schemas) and calculation layers; strong familiarity with relational (SQL, Oracle) and non-relational databases, data warehousing concepts, and BigQuery. - Strong SQL development skills including T-SQL, stored procedures, and complex queries for data extraction and manipulation; experience with data gathering, cleaning, transformation, and integration across disparate sources. - Proven ability to work with large, complex datasets; experienced in data governance, validation, QA/troubleshooting, and applied statistical analysis and modeling techniques. - Expert in data visualization techniques and dashboard design with a strong visual design sensibility — including layout, typography, color theory, and interaction design; familiarity with Adobe tools a plus. - Proficient in Excel (advanced analysis and reporting), Word, and PowerPoint. - Experience with Python, R, or other scripting languages for data analysis (plus).
