Role Description We are looking for a driven and strategic New Logo Hunter to join our Government Sales team in Germany. This is a high-impact, quota-carrying role with a singular focus: winning net-new cybersecurity business in German state and municipal government (Landes- und Kommunalbehörden). You will not manage existing accounts. Your mandate is to identify, engage, and close new government logos — converting untapped public sector opportunities into long-term TrendAI customers. If you thrive on the hunt and understand how government procurement decisions are made in Germany, this role is built for you. What You'll Do - New Business Development - Identify and systematically target new government logos across Landes- und Kommunalbehörden throughout Germany - Build and manage a healthy pipeline of net-new opportunities from prospecting through close - Develop territory plans with clear prioritization of whitespace accounts - Drive leads independently and in collaboration with channel partners and marketing - Government Sales Execution - Navigate complex, multi-stakeholder procurement processes typical of public administration (e.g., EVB-IT, Rahmenverträge, Vergaberecht) - Engage decision-makers at CISO, CIO, IT-Leiter, and Amtsleiter level - Manage extended sales cycles with structured milestone-based approaches - Accurately forecast pipeline and maintain CRM hygiene - Partner & Ecosystem Collaboration - Work closely with assigned VAR and system integrator partners who are active in the German public sector - Support partner-initiated opportunities and co-develop go-to-market plans for government campaigns - Represent Trend Micro at relevant government, BSI, and security-focused industry events - Advisory & Positioning - Position Trend Micro's platform (XDR, endpoint, cloud security, network defense) against the specific threat landscape and compliance obligations facing German public authorities - Collaborate with pre-sales engineers to deliver tailored solution presentations and proof-of-concepts - Establish yourself as a trusted cybersecurity advisor to public sector stakeholders Qualifications - Minimum 4+ years of enterprise sales experience with consistent quota attainment - Proven track record of winning new logos — not account management or renewal — in complex B2B sales environments - Experience selling into German state or municipal government, or demonstrable knowledge of how public sector procurement works in Germany - Ability to manage long, complex sales cycles and multi-stakeholder engagements - Fluent in German (native-level) and business-proficient in English - Self-starter with high commercial drive and structured prospecting discipline Requirements - Strongly Preferred - Background in cybersecurity, cloud/SaaS, or IT infrastructure sales - Existing relationships within Landes- or Kommunalbehörden IT purchasing or security decision-making communities is a nice to have - Nice to Have - Knowledge of KRITIS regulation, BSI IT-Grundschutz, NIS2 transposition in Germany, or § 8a BSIG compliance obligations - Experience with EVB-IT contract structures or public sector framework agreements (e.g., via Dataport, ITEOS, or similar) - Existing BSI or public sector security community network - Familiarity with German public procurement law (Vergaberecht, UVgO, VgV) and framework contracts Benefits - Competitive base + uncapped commission structure - Dedicated pre-sales and technical support for government opportunities - Clear career path within Trend Micro's Government & Public Sector practice - Culture built on trust, autonomy, and winning as a team
