• Fact-check articles and copy edit manuscripts for tone and accuracy • Use (and help develop) proprietary AI-assisted editorial tools to support editing efficiency and quality assurance • Adhere to MyHealthTeam house style and Associated Press (AP) Stylebook guidelines • Maintain and refine the house style guide • Proofread layouts before articles are published • Ensure all edited content meets MyHealthTeam standards for accuracy, clarity, and compassion, regardless of workflow or tools used

Job Requirements

  • Experienced, with at least five years as a professional copy editor
  • Savvy with the AP Stylebook and house style guides
  • Curious, adaptable, and comfortable experimenting with AI-assisted workflows while maintaining strong editorial judgment
  • Skilled at fact-checking references and medical information
  • Proficient with editing in Google Docs
  • Willing to develop a working knowledge of 70-plus health conditions
  • Collaborative and comfortable working on a team
  • Organized and able to track many projects simultaneously
  • Spanish-language fluency (not required but a plus)
  • Experience using AI tools to enhance efficiency while maintaining editorial quality (not required but a plus)
  • Experience with American Medical Association (AMA) reference formatting (not required but a plus)
  • Familiarity with project management software, such as Asana (not required but a plus)
