Senior Content Writer

Harbor Health

• Write, edit, and proofread content across channels including website copy, blog posts, member newsletters, social media, email campaigns, and marketing collateral • Develop member-facing communications that explain benefits, care programs, and health plan features in plain, accessible language • Create provider- and broker-facing content that articulates Harbor Health's value proposition as a payvider and ACO partner • Collaborate with clinical and operations teams to accurately represent Harbor's care model, HEDIS initiatives, and population health programs • Translate regulatory and compliance-driven content (e.g., CMS/TDI requirements) into member-friendly formats — EOBs, plan documents, FAQs • Maintain and evolve Harbor's brand voice and editorial standards across all content types • Support SEO strategy by producing optimized content that drives organic traffic and member engagement • Manage multiple content projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines in a fast-paced startup environment • Partner with the Creative Director and design team to ensure content and visual elements are cohesive and on-brand • Track content performance metrics and incorporate insights to continuously improve effectiveness • Assist in building a content library and knowledge base for internal and external use

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional writing experience, with a portfolio demonstrating range (digital, long-form, and/or marketing copy)
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish — a meaningful advantage given Harbor's Texas member population
  • Experience writing in a healthcare, health insurance, or health-tech context
  • Strong command of plain-language writing principles for consumer-facing audiences
  • Ability to distill complex, technical, or regulatory information into clear and engaging content
  • Excellent editing and proofreading skills; strong attention to detail
  • Comfortable managing multiple concurrent projects and adapting quickly in a startup environment
  • Proficiency with content management systems and digital publishing tools

Role Description The Director, Medical Writing is responsible for advancing the medical writing portfolio within the clinical and regulatory areas. This includes authoring and overseeing the authoring of clinical documentation to support the conduct of trials and regulatory submissions/filings.
