• Develop high-quality Go (and eBPF) code for the Tetragon project • Design and implement new Tetragon features to enhance its capabilities for Runtime security detection and enforcement • Design and optimize systems for large-scale Tetragon deployment and operation in K8s or VM platforms • Architect infrastructure that converts raw event data into intelligence streams with minimal performance overhead • Contribute to open-source projects and represent Cisco Isovalent in community discussions • Participate in architecture reviews, code reviews, and documentation
Job Requirements
- Bachelors + 8 years of related experience, or Masters + 6 years of related experience, or PhD + 3 years of related experience
- 10+ years of experience in systems programming (Go, C, or similar; Tetragon is primarily written in Go)
- Experience in building system software in Go (or similar) and/or eBPF
- Experience in system-level development, Linux kernel development, distributed systems, or run-time security systems

Role Description We’re looking for a Staff Software Engineer I/II to join our Data Ingestion Team, which builds and operates the critical infrastructure that serves as the “front door” of StackAdapt’s event flow. Our systems process over 10 billion events per day , powering core functions across bidding, reporting, billing, analytics, and machine learning. You will work on challenging technical problems and partner with teams across the company to drive key initiatives. We design + build low-latency, highly reliable distributed systems for impressions, clicks, conversions, and third-party signals, ensuring data is accurate and available to downstream teams in real time. This is a high-impact area at the core of StackAdapt’s platform, the systems you own will directly shape data quality, system reliability, and the speed at which teams across the company can build and innovate. Our work sits at the cutting edge of large-scale distributed systems, leveraging modern technologies and architectures to solve complex real-time data challenges.
