Role Description The Sr. Systems Analyst role within IT is responsible for systems analysis, consulting with users and stakeholders to determine software and system functional specifications. This role focuses on application support, enhancement, design, build, and implementing more complex changes and resolving more complex issues. Possess expertise in application functional use and design, development, documentation, analysis, modification and testing. Brings competency to application and administration duties required to support Sharp's environment in a highly available manner. Promotes the effective and efficient use of computing resources and facilitates client workflows. Will manage IT project initiatives, provide planning activities, and act as a mentor to peers. Exercises discretion with independent thought and judgment. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Qualifications - 5 Years relevant experience. - Leadership experience. Requirements - 5 Years healthcare or related subject matter experience. - 3 Years system analyst role. - Project Management experience. - Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification - Various-No accreditation board - PREFERRED - Professional Certifications (2 preferred): Certifications that portray advanced level of proficiency relevant to the job responsibilities. - Certification directly related to the application being supported (if applicable) - Preferred Essential Functions - Communication: - Ensures effective communication with stakeholders. - Draws from experience and knowledge of established processes to identify key stakeholders. - Portrays effective written and oral communication tools and techniques. - Develops and achieves consensus on communication plans. - Leads evaluation of communication plans and refines processes for improvement. - Works closely with the Analysts, and IT help desk to provide education and facilitate resolution of problems. - Leads complex interactions with key vendors and drives to resolution. - Collaborates with client leadership, providing senior expertise on projects and enhancements. - Proactively communicates completion dates. - Utilizes Knowledge, Research and Experience in sharing ideas and information with others. - Leadership: - Exercises leadership role with staff and clients to promote customer satisfaction and staff development. - Demonstrates content expertise regarding applications and business operations. - Manages client expectations and priorities through effective communication and interaction. - Resolves conflicts between client expectations and department priorities. - Proposes and implements creative solutions to problems. - Facilitates interactions with clients to ensure understanding and attainment of project goals. - Trains new IT staff in system functions and operations. - Mentors team members. - Problem Analysis and Resolution: - Utilizes effective and creative problem solving techniques. - Analyzes and implements effective client workflow. - Demonstrates sound knowledge of business, strategic, and IT strategies. - Performs problem analysis using sound judgment, initiative, and discretion. - Identifies root cause and determines viable solutions. - Develops a comprehensive analysis of pros/cons and implications of proposed solutions. - Seeks out required data for problem analysis and resolution. - Uses effective interviewing skills to elicit client requirements. - Project Management: - Demonstrates consistent and effective application of Project Management techniques. - Analyzes department and client needs to develop a workable training plan. - Determines an accurate scope, definition, and charter for the project. - Ensures execution of training plan. - Manages small to medium projects and ensures completion within target dates. - Develops, contributes and maintains project plans. - Communicates project scope, deliverables, plans, issues and post project reports. - System Configuration and Testing: - Demonstrates advanced skill set for Application Support, Enhancement, Design, Build and Implementation for complex changes. - Ensures the appropriate use of test environments. - Develops and executes plans for application functional use and design. - Keeps all environments synchronized. - Develops test scripts that include standard functionality, client workflow, tables/dictionaries, screen design, system options and rules. - Mentors staff regarding change management procedures. - Demonstrates knowledge of and adherence to Sharp Security policies. - Develops system documentation for on-call and other operational requirements. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - Must have strong leadership skills and experience. - Knowledge of clinical and business operations in a healthcare environment. - Knowledge of hospital and clinic culture, regulatory requirements (e.g., JCAHO), and health care requirements as it relates to information security and privacy (e.g., HIPAA). - Proficiency in the applications supported by the department, Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project, and Project Web App. - Must be able to calmly and professionally respond to frequent deadlines for reports and related tasks. Compensation - Hourly Pay Range (Minimum - Midpoint - Maximum): $53.570 - $69.120 - $77.410 - The stated pay scale reflects the range that Sharp reasonably expects to pay for this position.
