Role Description Responsible for complete administration of combo plan designs DB & DC including reporting, compliance testing and 5500 preparation. Keeps informed of new developments, policies, and legislation concerning qualified retirement Plans in order to proactively advise assigned Plan Sponsors. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree and 3 years’ experience in qualified plan compliance or plan administration services or equivalent combination of education and experience. - Experience with DB or ESOP administration is preferred. - ASPPA QKA or similar industry credential(s) preferred. Requirements - Ability to use research tools to obtain knowledge of and apply current regulations. - Ability to read and interpret plan documents, procedure manuals and basic workflow software. - Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. - Ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external contacts. - Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations where only limited standardization exists. - Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. - Ability to develop application software skills provided by internal training, within a reasonable period of time as determined by the Manager. Applications may include ASC Compliance & DGEM 5500s, Adobe, Schwab Retirement Technologies "SRT" (among other applications). - Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Tasks Performed - 30% Own administration of assigned DB/CB, ESOP, and other DC retirement plans, ensuring compliance with plan provisions (including paired/combined plans) and applicable pension laws. Monitor and communicate plan cash activity, participant data changes, recordkeeping, and census data. Review trust statements and required data for actuarial valuations. Prepare annual allocation reports and participant statements for paired DC plans. Review and deliver actuarial valuation reports, disclosures, testing results, and participant statements to Plan Sponsors. - 15% Assist with preparation of and/or review annual compliance testing result packages to be delivered to clients/sponsors. - 20% Prepare and/or review annual government reporting including Form 5500, appropriate Schedules, Form 8955-SSA or Form 5558. Track and verify need for Form 1099R with Paying Agent/Vendor Partners. Deliver and track PBGC Premium Filings and provide support with completion of filings of all types. Monitor plans for RMD and other required activities and funding deadlines. - 30% Provide exceptional customer service for the book of Defined Benefit, ESOP and Combo Plan assigned through proactive communications with financial institutions, Advisors, and/or Plan Sponsors. - 5% Perform other duties as assigned. Physical Requirements - Communicate effectively with internal and/or external customers. - Stationary 75% of time or greater. - Move Objects to Maximum 10 lbs. Role Description As an Underwriter at Splitero, you will make risk assessment decisions on applications for our Home Equity Investment (HEI) product, a modern alternative to traditional financing with no income requirements or monthly payments. In this pivotal role, you will analyze risk factors against our underwriting guidelines, policies, and procedures, and partner closely with our Processing team and homeowners to bring files to closing with clarity and purpose. - Own your pipeline from initial review through final approval, maintaining a consistent daily review cadence and meeting quality standards measured through regular QA review of your files. - Identify the right conditions for each file: purposeful, proportionate, and defensible, and communicate the reasoning clearly to processors and homeowners. - Ensure title to the property is free of restrictions, leases, liens, and other encumbrances, and identify the specific conditions needed to cure any title issues. - Conduct thorough appraisal reviews, identifying value concerns, property condition flags, and comparables that may affect the investment decision. - Review and analyze loan modifications to assess their impact on lien position, product features, and eligibility. - Review trust documentation to confirm vesting, trustee authority, and compliance with Splitero guidelines. - Monitor and approve that all conditions are met prior to funding. The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $110,000 per year. Within the range, individual pay is determined by job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
