Role Description Eclipse Automation is seeking a results-driven Senior Sales Account Manager – Transportation to drive growth across the Southeast United States. This is a remote role based within the region, responsible for managing key accounts, developing new business opportunities, and delivering custom automation and engineered solutions. - Develop and execute strategic account plans to drive revenue growth within the Southeast US region, as well as nationally. - Identify, pursue, and close complex custom automation and engineered system opportunities. - Lead the full sales lifecycle, from opportunity development through contract negotiation and project handoff. - Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across engineering, operations, procurement, and executive leadership. - Collaborate with internal engineering and application teams to develop and deliver tailored technical solutions. - Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and forecast to meet or exceed revenue targets. - Monitor industry trends, competitive activity, and emerging transportation technologies (EV, mobility, etc.). - Expectation of travel up to 30-50% of the time could be anticipated, however this may be exceeded in exceptional circumstances to meet sales or project needs. Qualifications - 7–10+ years of sales experience in custom automation, engineered systems, or capital equipment. - Proven track record of closing complex, technical sales opportunities. - Experience within transportation-related markets (automotive, EV, heavy equipment, rail, heavy vehicle, etc.). - Strong consultative selling, communication, and negotiation skills. Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or similar) - Preferred. - Experience with applications engineering, robotics, automated manufacturing systems, or system integration - Preferred. - Familiarity with CRM systems and structured sales processes - Preferred.
