What you will do: - Strategic Leadership: Define domain-level technical roadmaps and own the end-to-end delivery of complex productivity and platform projects. - AI Strategy: Evaluate, prototype, and deploy AI/ML-powered solutions such as AI-assisted code reviews and automated test generation. - Scale CI/CD Architecture: Architect high-efficiency pipelines that support diverse languages and deployment targets across a global, distributed organization. - Technical Mentorship: Review RFCs, provide deep architectural insights, and mentor senior engineers to raise the overall engineering bar. - System Design: Design and optimize microservices frameworks to ensure high availability, scalability, and service quality for internal platforms. Qualifications: - A minimum of 8 years of professional software engineering experience with a track record of technical leadership. - Expertise in designing large-scale distributed, high-concurrency, and high-availability systems. - Mastery of server technologies to optimize service response, data queries, and infrastructure efficiency. - Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Aliyun) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Kubernetes). - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence technical strategy across a global organization. Preferred Skills: - Experience building or integrating AI-powered developer tools or internal developer portals (e.g., Backstage). - Deep understanding of observability infrastructure (Logs, metrics, traces) and messaging systems (Kafka) at enterprise scale. - Domain knowledge on distributed systems and cloud native tech stack. Applicant Safety Policy: Fraud and Third-Party Recruiters To protect you from recruitment scams, please be aware that Airwallex will not ask for bank details, sensitive ID numbers (i.e. passport), or any form of payment during the application or interview process.
